I miss the old style of videos that you made before all of these interview videos... Please don't stop making that type of content, because you're pretty good at it...

Who are you to say my child is intellectually disabled ? Prove it ! 👍👍 Non verbal is no proof whatsoever! And yea, my son quickly figured out how to fail to stop the test. He tested the tester every time. I get it wrong three times they move on and I get out of here. But in a moment he revealed he could read the testers questions upside down because he gave the answers to the next question when she said if he got one right he could play with something he spotted in the room. Dude… but he didn’t talk. Eventually he did to get to do Lycra spinning therapy he thrived on tightly wrapped spinning then immediately apply headphones on to block all background and 20 minutes of online program speech = prize. Within weeks he was talking whereas regular speech OT no way. PDA Autism profile. Demand avoidance in all areas. So many potentials to verbal blocks. Tricky. And yes, I understand her position regarding a cure. Moms yes want all things better for their child. Moms want to cure all things for their child. Bring in that cure for the common cold and I’m in line for my child. The individual simply wants acceptance as they are…. autistic or snooty cold nose just love me as I am. ❤️❤️❤️ Respect to the mom and her child. And yes, it’s so sad we get all things thrown into the autism box vs seeking medical diagnostics for medical presentations of stems. Those seizures need answers other than autism symptom.

Working in childcare sometimes between 5-8 they have a lot of encouraging development, my brother's didn't really start until after he was on a natural growth suppliment (mannatech) but playing the 'use your words' games about what they were involved in can make a difference but sunglasses/transition lenses almost always make a difference because it reduces the excess input. I'm always so proud when I see parents comfortable with their child wearing headphones/glasses in public. All in all parents who are *listening* to their kids & fitting the program to them not them to the program are already doing an amazing job.

Ah, also I struggle with Autism & epilepsy & there are a number of times when I'm tired my jaw will get 'stuck' & I can only communicate with gestures til I rest. It's frustrating.
