Im 20 years old now, love d, he really inspired me and was the rapper who really got to my heart. Im also planning to get the last bars of look tru my eyes tattood on me, dmx definitely on another level for me, people talking bout big n pac but i listen to dmx and i feel every word in my heart

Dont get me wrong, not saying anything on any rapper im a real hip hop head, just dmx has something different that i cant explain, you just feel everything he says

I'm not the biggest Rap fan in the world but this song just caught me off guard and it just stuck with me after to listening to it a few times and I started to realize that DMX was talking about the same struggles I was going through. Slippin' motivated me to be a better man a better father to my son and it made me realize when you become a parent it isnt just about you anymore. The stakes change when you bring a kid into this world and you owe it to that kid to do your best to give your child a better upbringing then your own. Especially, if your own upbringing was poverty stricken and exposed to drugs and alcohol at a young age.

I'm glad you made it through the desert. It makes us tougher. I always said, we must be special to have these crosses. It makes you appreciate what you have.

​​​@@averitasMan I don't even fear death anymore. It's great we have a way out. I've suffered so much for the last 8 years, I feel every word of DMX. Too bad he slipped again in the end. It's a slippery slope straight down to a life in hell when fucking with Drugs. Death is the ultimate deliverance. I know he is in a better place now. I am not suicidal, I am 2 months clean from hard opiates. I still feel like shit, every day. I am physically getting stronger though. There's a faint light at the end of the tunnel and I hope I get there before I slip. Music and Netflix is the only things that keeps me sane. And hearing about other people's stories so I thought I'd share mine even though it ain't even the half. D Rugs by Cam'Ron is also a great track for broken souls.
