His ex wife Tashera told the story at his funeral, she used to ask him why he would always talk about dying at a early age in his music and prayers, his response was "Because I really thought that I wouldn't make it past 22." And that was always deep to me. When you go through something in life and the only thing that you can expect is death itself is depressing. I'm just grateful that DMX (my favorite rapper) got to experience more and to share his pain with the world and did everything in his power to help guide those who related to his situation, no matter what the struggle was. Hip Hop is definitely on life support, after he passed. He was loved, he deserves to be inducted into the Rock N Roll, Hall Of Fame, and there will never be another X. May he rest in peace🌹🌹🌹🌹🙌🙌🙌🙌💎💎
This song.... feels like it helped me personally to get trough some shit.. Listened to this song a lot during a very stressful period of my life tryin to survive a fkn bounty on my head for something i had no part of. (Although did do dome shit at the time lol) Out of all that shit now and have a family. But will never forget his music. It's still very much in my life.
He was a flawed human being and a becon of light leading us to salvation. I listened to his last prayer an bible reading and its still guiding me toward the light, salvation and a better understanding of God's word.
RIP TO A LEGEND,DMX!!! X in my top 10list of greatest rappers of all time. Jay Z told a great story about having to have to go on after X on the Def Jam/Summer Jam tour. I seen X a few times and the first time was at Woodstock 99’ which was a hell of a performance. There just aren’t any rappers out today that can compare to Biggie,Pac,DMX,IceCube,Nas,Eminem,WU-Tang,EPMD,Jay Z,Busta and that list goes on and on. The 90’s were a wonderful era for every genre of music. From Rappers that I already mentioned to Nirvana,Tool,Soundgarden,Pearl Jam,STP,Alice in Chains,Metallica,Megadeth,Korn,Deftones, and that list goes on and on. The 90’s were the Shit!!! I graduated high school in 1995 and the radio was filled with tunes

I heard it for the first time right after he passed and the cry out for help on that song more than any other one of his songs.
