I'm from NC and this story just makes me so mad. There is so many points where the people around her could have made a different decision that would have saved her life. If you see a kid that you believe could be the child on an Amber alert. Call the police. You might be wrong but you might be right.

I live in NC. I remember this sad and sick story. This was drugs and negligence. The white family did care for the little girl, but the black mother was unfit. Then the story goes down hill from there.

Brad had a contract outside the country, and the aunt had Shaniya. She was going to Morganton Elementary but needed to get shots before returning. How I know this because I was in the pediatrician office when the discussion of her shots were needed for school .So the aunt had to take her back to her mother and week later she was abducted and killed. Moving forward her oldest brother who was at her funeral ends of getting killed years later. Just a sad story.
