I don't believe in no contact unless it's a dangerous or too emotionally overwhelming situation. You don't just get rid of family. We need to learn to forgive, heal, and set boundaries to keep a healthy distance. Jesus is the greatest teacher of this. And believe me I have had my share of suffering by both my parents

My children are biracial and have experienced rejection from many family members. We cut those people off real quick so my kids would not be hurt. But I have a mom like this woman. She has had many opportunities to make the right choice. The last chance I gave her was about 7 years ago. She was a no show to see my kids after I had traveled 12 hours to see her. To find out she was with some new guy she met and she did not want to upset him by coming to see us. I cut her off after that. Best decision I have ever made. Women like this never change unfortunately. Best wishes to this young lady

I relate to this girl’s story. I don’t believe the mom will change. My mom was the same. Everyone tends to minimize the pain of the abandonment . Everyone tells you just to accept it. You can move on tho. And you can be all you need to heal this. You can manage the pain and let yourself be happy. But don’t let anyone rush your healing. The pain will come back from time to time, but you will grow in your ability to handle it. Regardless of if mom gets it together and becomes an authentic source of love and support or not.

I'm sure if you dive deep inside of the Mom, you will find a stack of childhood trauma as well on top of other mental health issues due to abuse, be it drugs, parents, and men . I'm sure there's attachment trauma styles and with that codependency . I bet almost every man in her life ( including her father ) has been a narcissist, when people like her give up everything to be with a man or woman, usually a sign of a trauma bond and that's like being addicted to Heroin .

Karamo I love how you take care of the women that are on your show, you are such a strong support to those of us who need your help. My oldest brother was my favorite, there were 16 years between us, by the time I was of an age to remember him he was gone into the military. As I grew older I would be home when he would call from overseas and most of the time I cried because I missed him so much. When I got older my mom told me he was gay, I think my answer surprised her because I said, “ it’s none of my business if he’s gay or straight he’s my favorite.” He passed away way back when Rock Hudson died and the country was in a panic. My older sister, our mother and I took care of him until his death, I miss him so much, but there is a bit of your character strengths that remind me of him. You look for the best in others as you uncover the truths, with the guess on your show, that’s what my brother did. Please stay strong you have one more fan!!!!

Had my daughter at 19, a young mom. Never used drugs even though I did for years before. It's a choice. Its hard work but you do it because kids deserve love and safety. This woman has a victim mentality. She won't respect herself that way. Hope this girl grew strong for herself. I can bet that mom is still with that boyfriend.

This much I know from 10yo, watching others lives go down the drain. It’s freaking heartbreaking. Alcohol and/or drugs, along with toxic relationships can have you make the worst decisions, without comprehending the full scope of what lies ahead. Yes, mother was 💯 wrong, but unfortunately, she wasn’t strong mentally when offered drugs by whomever, to tell toxic people to F off. I hope this young girl gets the support she needs throughout her life, as she continue to heal, with or without her birth mother. 😢

I've heard her mom apologize over and over, I Also was given up, I was in my moms life til I was 7yrs old, then left for couple yrs, moved back when I was 9yrs old, I didn't fully forgive my mom because my mom also chose men over her kids, over n over, but I was able to let it go when I had time to be with mom, because there's going to be a day when she's gone, my mom is gone 2yrs now, my mom was a part time mom I say that because she was in and out of my life, when I got my time with my mom I took it, didn't live in the past, This girl needs try stop living in the past, yes it's hard stop bringing up the past, it's hard, she wants a relationship with her mom but she's like bringing up past over and over and over and over, mom shouldn't have to leave her boyfriend just to be in daughter life, daughter needs stop STOP living past go to counciling or something, because it's like she doesn't want to hear her mom at all. Like said, I know it's hard, But move on stop bringing up the past, if you want a relationship with your mom, STOP LIVING IN THE PAST. If you don't want to try it, well then you don't want a relationship, you just want ruin her life, til her you want her leave her bf, who maybe good man, I don't see this relationship working because the daughter wants live in the past.

I understand her daughters pain and I’m sure this isn’t the first time she has vented and told her mom how she felt so with that being said you brought her to the show because you want a relationship with her right but you can’t do that if you going to keep throwing in her face what she did wrong in the past. You have to give her the opportunity to prove she has changed otherwise why did you bring her on the show? To keep bashing her? I know you have told her this on more then one occasion if you not giving her a chance then you only brought her here to bash her

I think she hoped she would get sincere accountability from her mother for actions, her mother made so many excuses for her actions and just shrugged her shoulders like I said I’m sorry what else do you want? I hope she forgives eventually but it’s going to take time to heal, the daughter is clearly in a lot of emotional pain but I do hope they get it together eventually.
