This is the best ever. I have never seen a band groove on it so hard, check the drummer. These must be the most chilled dudes in the world. 5 stars from me, its stuff like this that makes life just that little bit better.

I was there and it was COLD! Anyone else there? I think there were probably about 20 heads there! It was crazy to see all these guys in John Deere hats start to stand up and get their funk on! LOL! I will never forget this one..for some reason. It was just odd..lol!

Feels like I should be an undercover cop with cool sideburns with a African American detective partner (with an afro and side burns) riding shot gun in our undercover car from the 70's, cruising through the streets of San Francisco or something....I like this.

trey with that '94-'96 stance again at times. good to see him wail like he can. great stuff.

Ive listened to a lot of phish. They never cease to amaze me, how four people could be that synergistic and connected is just a miracle. Even if one "messes up" its like they all mess up, at the same time, in the same way. It is truly absurd.

I love it! Some people just don't "get it" one of my favorite versions of Moma Dance, and it's on CMT! Priceless!!!!

I remeber when this aired. I waited for hours watching a lot of bad country artist to push record on the vcr! Lol . They played an impromptu jam with Neil young then played down by the river with him. These guys can do anything!

I drove pretty far just to see them play this mini gig. Worth it. I love Neil Young but the place was dead all day until they hit the stage and the pavilion just flooded with kids and it was on.....for a moment. Awesome moment in Phish History. This song has been in my head the last few days. I already feel the one coming on this MSG run :) I feel the winds.

11 dislikes? whoever disliked this literally must have just looked up any phish video purely to dislike it without listening to it and stumbled upon this one. I dont care what music you like or dont, you have to respect something like this. I am a huge death metal fan, big hip hop fan, and i fucking dig this. I wish people would stop being so goddamn dismissive.

1998 was a peak year for phish, well 97 or 98, somewhere in there, so great I started going to shows in 97!! Well 75 shows later and I still cant get enough! Phish is the best live band in the last 15 years.

listening while playing is such a key ingredient to sounding great as a unit. when i started playing i overplayed and recognized that simplicity is so important and it makes you so much better as a musician. i've always had a good ear, but now it's a different level. i've taught so many people how to listen to music and not just "hear" it. feels great when you can teach someone and have them really get it. just had to get that off my chest. great moma btw!!!

Nice memories. I remember watching this and Toby Keith making fun of them, called them pish. He really sounded silly. I still haven't forgotten how stupid that was. They wailed.
@beeris4breakfast

This was phun. People had no idea what the hell was going on. I remember when they came on it was like a tornado. We were all on the lawn and then everybody just (reasonably relaxed) rushed down into the pavilion and it was a Phish show for about half an hour. I remember leaving to drive home to NY after and feeling like we should be going to the next show but it could have just been all the green tea and cliff bars I ate. ;)

phish, the best song writing musicians to ever step on a stage, no one compares to their level of talent and creativity. The only man who was better is now dead, his name was Zappa. Most people who are haters of Phish are either A) not musicians or B) musicians who are jealous so they have to find a reason to hate them.

@zeromeobass i'm gonna lay it down for you man. i loved the gd and allmans but didn't really care for phish. it took me about 6 months of trying them over and over again to really "get it". harry hood from a live one did that for me, it all made sense to me. phish jams had such an incredible sense of direction that i think grateful dead jams just never had. obviously gd from 1970-77 was unreal, but phish's jamming conversation and themes that they work with is just so much more impressive.

This is such a sick song. The part when they finish the intro key changes and go into the main part of the song (when they switch to the key of Cm) gives me chills. They need to turn up Fish's mike, though. His singing makes the song what it is.

@sullivangang 1 second ago they have more musicianship then both bands under their belt. Listen to Foam and i guarentee neither the dead nor allman bros could ever play something that difficult. Their composition skills are divine. The play in every key and in every mode, and arent limited to blues jams or simple grooves.
