9:36 - If you don't want the black bars, right-click on the footage, choose 'Interpret Footage', and in the tab that says 'Square pixels' choose '1:33 HD Anamorphic'. I'm writing it from memory, so sorry if there are some small mistakes :p
That last Jell-O effect tip was life saving... Because i have seen many videos of anamorphic videos with jello effect that got me confused, but u cleared it out, so while using anamorphic lens turn off stabilization and use a gimbal...👍🏻

I had the exact same experience attaching a lens the first time. And yes, I snapped it. I sent them a request for a new insert and they sent one, no charge.
There’s a dedicated and proper pixel ratio setting, if you do want to desqueeze in post which you should. Will yield better results, won’t kill the initial ratios of you size parameter, won’t produce useless black pixel bars (letterboxes) that get encoded for no reason and other benefits…
Help & advice pleeeese 😢 I'm using iPhone 12 Pro Max, moment app and moment anamorphic lens. Post processing using wondershare Filmora 11. While editing the footage stretches the width of the screen; upload to RU-vid and the video has not just got the top / bottom black lines but also both edges? Try as I can I am unable to end up with footage the full width of my screen (phone, tv and iPad).... any ideas 🙏
I wanted to order 2 Moment VND filters and mounts, it cost about 350$ but they want also Taxes about 100$.. thats to much… maybe there is a shop in Europe with these filters?
I've had mine for 1 day, but the videos seem blurry compared to without it, going to try again. I know that can be normal at the edges, but the whole video was like that.
I’m using a SmallRig cage with my iPhone 12 Pro Max plus moment lenses and filters. It feels more sturdy than the moment case. Wondered if you could suggest a suitable gimbal? Thanks
I have a few questions about using these lenses on smaller digital cameras... If I use the Siri on , say a Sony Cybershot, Would I get the oval bouquet? Since the Cybershot and Canon Powershots have manual modes, could I be better off using manual focus with these anamorphic lenses? Would these lenses even work well on a compact camera?
yeah its pretty annoying. I was severely disappointed in it. you'd think they would've caught that in the lens design stage. such an ugly artifact. of course you can manually clone it out (if youre a masochist)
I would like to know "mist" grade has PolarPro Mist filter, 1/8, 1/4, 1/2? PolarPro Mist or Mist 3-5 doesn´t had any info regarding this "mandatory" info regarding all "Mist" filters. Do you have any info?

Wait a sec... So iPhones do not have it like Huawei mate 20 pro so that you can get the shutterspeed, focus and so on by default? You really have to have an extra app for it?
you can choose a 37mm if you want something smaller. Bigger filters mean less distortion at the edges of the frame and maybe slightly better quality overall
Many thanks for these videos, this channel is great. I’ve a question, i’ve ulanzi anamorphic lens, but what happens if i use also other device that doesn’t have anamorphic lens ? Eg. I shot with my iPhone with anamorphic lens, and also with a drone, or other iPhone that doesn’t have the lens. What happens if i mix shots made with this different devices ? I think that the looks of shots will be different so how can i mix it ?

no, but if youre locked down you can use an ND filter to lower the shutter speed. you get more motion blur on moving objects..but phones arent like cameras. they have a smaller unchangeable aperture.
It does look really amazing but it's a shame it doesn't have that shallow DOF look up compared to a film anamorphic, I know there's a huge price difference of course. while lovely, it just looks really sharp and like video.
Thanks for this video. I have the lens but still waiting for the phone case. So unable to use it yet Am I right in thinking that, if you want to desqueeze in post that you record at 16:9? Also, if you wanted to edit in footage shot without the lens you would shoot that at 2.39:1?
I am having trouble balancing the " Iphoen 11 Pro + Walnut case, 67mm ND filter, 67mm Cinebloom diffusion filter and 18 mm moment lens on OSMO Mobile 3. I have tried using counterweight but still no luck, Still the lens side turns out to be heavier, maybe you can show it in one of your future videos?
it sounds like that is too heavy, even with counterweights. The OM 4 has slightly stronger motors but it struggles if I add that much weight. That's why I bought the Zhiyun Crane M2
Sorry to hit you up with this question. I been noticing really inconsistent transferring of video from my Samsung s20 ultra to my PC. I am curious you ever have files just crash on the copy that you could not get over onto your pc ? I do see this issue quite a bit on various bugs, like one minute I am able to copy files and the next few minutes I cant do it at all. I have other ways like a cloud backup. I might try getting an SD card and do it locally on the phone to an SD card instead of plugging it in to my pc. I am just curious if this has happen. For me it has happen more than a few times where I spend 3 hours trying to get copies on to my pc. Thanks man your the best.
Hey there. I haven't had too many problems. But I haven't edited on a PC for years. I'm on a MacBook Air. Used to go through Google drive. But recently I just connected with a cable and haven't had any issues
could be a bad cable. I only use Macs but ive seen cables go bad and cause this. and if its not, a car probably wont help. if they play fine on the phone then its your computer corrupting files.. or your hard drive could be going bad.. dunno, could be so many things. good luck!!
yes, this is common on all 12 pro max. really a bummer and im kinda pissed about it. you'd think they would've been able to avoid this. such an ugly artifact
Thanks a lot for the video. I have been looking forward to this Moment lens forr !y iPhone 12 Pro Max and matching Smallrig cage. But the truth is that the corner performance is really horrendous. Its bad to the point its completely distracting and that's all I look at.. is not "adding character", it's just destroying the image. To add the anamorphic look but then have the whole IQ wrecked, makes little sense. I had see other video reviews before and this one again proves the same issue. I think this lens (a few years old in design already) is simply not a match for the newer larger sensor of the iPhone 12 Pro Max. The results are far much better on older iphones. Basically this lens needs an updated design, as it stands is a no go, specially for it's very high price.
I wish I had looked at the description under the video because I just purchased the Moza mini MS Gimbal which isn’t compatible with Filmic pro. There is so much good information in this instructional! I’ve watch this at least 20 times👍🏻 Just purchased that K&F ND 67mm filter.
you wont get a REALLY nice bokeh with the cameras. when apple uses it on the photos "portrait mode" its actually faking it. regular camera lenses have adjustable f stops, mechanically, which causes the bokeh (lower aperature=more bokeh). cameras are fixed and wont give you a great bokeh. little bit but not adjustable
