This video footage captured the dramatic moment a car ploughed into a garden wall as it was being chased by police in Trafford.
The smash happened on Upper Chorlton Road in the Firswood area just after 2am this morning (Monday). Officers pursued a 'suspected stolen' car before it smashed into the wall of a front garden of a house.
A camera captured the terrifying moment the car ploughed into the brick wall and flipped over into the road. The footage showed a police vehicle with blue flashing lights pulling up to the scene just moments later.
In a statement, a spokesperson for GMP said: "At around 2am this morning (Monday 16 September 2024) we were called to reports of a vehicle being stolen in south Manchester. The car made off from police patrols and after a brief pursuit collided with a wall on Upper Chorlton Road.
"A man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of theft of motor vehicle and dangerous driving. He remains in police custody for questioning.
