"Whatever It Takes" and "Respectless" are such incredible songs, definitely the best in the show so far. That duet was perfection, and the fact they were both from In The Heights felt like a great callback.
the only problem i have with whatever it takes is that both carmilla and vaggie probably should’ve had more buildup to their emotional number and their parallel as carmella especially was just introduced to the show. I feel like they should flesh out the main cast first
Honestly I loved how this episode proved that velvet is more then a spoiled bratty influencer, she's proves that she's smart and bold while also being smart and cunning cuz she immediately knew that Camilla knew more then she was letting on
I love the Helluva Boss connection: "Oh, my crumbs! A genuine Carmine-Crafted Blessing-Tipped Rifle! How... How in the fuck did he get one of these?!" --Moxxie
I love how Zestial and Alastor , when compared to the V's show the difference between confidence and arrogance. The former don't feel the need to enter into a pissing contest with other Overlords, because they know better than to needlessly step on each other's toes. Even more importantly, they show a degree of respect for each other. Whereas the V's are basically *looking* to pick fights regardless if its smart or not and despite them needing each other to maintain their shared empire, each of them considers themselves the "backbone of the V's". Hell, Velvette calls everyone in that room cowards for not wanting a war with *Heaven* , a war only the Seven Deadly Sins would be powerfull enough to survive, which goes to show how ignorant they actually are.
I can't recall if it's been confirmed or if it's just a theory, but I've heard how human a demon appears is directly proportional to how humane they were in life. That being said, Alastor's normal appearance is clearly a facade, as seen in episode two, and in reality has arguably the most monstrous appearance in the show. And if the theory above is correct, it certainly makes sense, given his... _hobbies_ in life.
Now that you mentioned it the thought never really came to my mind if Vaggie and Carmilla are related they are both Hispanic and sinners who has angelic weapons so if it's true the credit goes to you
To answer a Latin Diva’s overwhelming flair and power with British Punk Pop’s unique blend of ‘Fuckitall’ and ‘Get lastingly fucked’ takes some serious balls and I kinda HAVE to respect Velvet for it XD
According to Vivziepop’s lore, Carmilla must be Hellborne because Sinners aren’t supposed to be able to procreate in Hell since they’re technically dead.
Maybe the Whatever It Takes was a red herring in purpose to make the viewers speculate, also there are theories that Veggie could be a fallen Angel (but that also can be a red herring).
Carmila She is a very old overlord, while vegg is new in hell compared to the angel who has served Valentino for 70 years, I think it is unlikely that there would be any human connection between the two (Sorry for any English mistakes, I'm not fluent in the language)
Okay so something that I think isn't that recognizable outside the musical lovers is that Camilla and Vaggie getting a duet basically implies similarities. Duets are used for compare and contrast, and that was not a contrast duet. Why is this important? Because Camilla's side of the song basically guarantees with Vaggie's wishing that she could say something that she's probably keeping something rather important unsaid There's a reason that people are having the theory that Vaggie is an ex exorcist (personally I think Deserter and someone that doesn't actually like Fighting because again comparison with Camilla type of duet)
Nice react! I wish there we're more reactions on HH, shame that they'l have to wait for a LONG ass time if ever from most content creators. Loved first 4 episodes tho.
my theory killing/harming angels is possible, but it only works as an act of righteousness. she managed because she acted to protect her children. which is why nobody has ever managed to kill an angel before because; 1) vast majority of hell have nobody in their life they care enough to confront an angel. 2) those who have someone to care never been as powerful as an overlord such as carmilla, hence they couldnt do any further than insignificant harms. this loophole might be pivotal. because my second theory is alastor will build an attachments to his friends in the hotel and that'll grant him the power to kill bunch of angels.
