Momma Dee's Lady Cream Peas | Simply Simmons 

We love all sorts of peas here in the south, but Momma Dee's Lady Cream Peas are by far the best! Recreate this recipe at home and tag me and mother, @dandrasimmons and @mommadeesimmons!
Here's everything you need:
6 cups of rinsed Lady Cream Peas
1 white onion, diced
1 lb of salt pork
2 boxes of chicken broth
Spoonful of sugar
Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
Hot sauce (optional)
Steps:
1. Pour your 6 cups of rinsed Lady Cream Peas in to a pot.
2. Cut the salt pork into thick pieces and add in to the pot along with the diced onion.
3. Take the pot to the stove and pour two boxes of chicken broth over ingredients. Add a spoonful of sugar and some freshly ground black pepper and cook until tender (bring to a boil then to a simmer).
4. Add some hot sauce if you like and serve warm!
