I also had a few of Max Fleischer's vhs tapes... they all came in a card sleeve and were usually less than a quid from the video man on the market. I managed to pick up a dvd with a load of them on... it's called Somewhere in Dreamland and is a 2 disc set. Now my kids are enjoying the flicks that my brothers and I loved over 30 years ago.

I'm sure I've seen this cartoon before, but it never occurred to me that it was Smiley Burnette, but there's no doubt it is. His voice is very distinctive and according to IMDB, he was proficient with over 100 instruments.

I believe Smiley wrote this song. This is from the early Thirties when he originally got to Hollywood. It showed up again in one of the Roy Rogers films Smiley made.
