Its obvious by this video 'Mommo' was loved by many! She's a hero for donating her organs so others can live. My condolences to all who loved her. Rest peacefully, 'Mommo'!
Sickening and pathetic that someone filmed this with the deliberate intention to upload and exploit the dead person. This should be private for family and friends, not for the general world to view! We didn’t know this dead person, and after watching the video, tears are wiped and we go about our lives. My point is that there is just no way the public will care to the depths of family members and friends of this dead person!
Big hugs and prayers, the reason I have my daughter today is cause of an heroic act like this! Thanks for sharing I know it's very hard to have lost a loved one. From a mom with a 6 year old daughter who had a heart transplant at 4, I'm thanking you from the bottom of my heart. I hope to be able to thank our donor family one day ❤❤❤
You just waisted part of your life watching a depressing video, why? The dead do not want to be put on RU-vid, this should be private for family and friends of this deceased person.
I’m wondering why people choose to watch something like this? I think funerals should be private and not for the general public and certainly not for social media.
@@katinabotten its the family’s choice 99% of the time at the hospital my daughter works at the family’s ask for it way before there ever ask if they would like to have it done.
@katinabotten, it is the 1st step in many families grief process. Secondly, it affords some with reconciling the death to know there is a purpose such as organ donation. Their loved one gave the gift of life and in doing so their love one also lives. As a healthcare system employee I know how hard it is to even ask families to donate. There are some cultures and religions that do not allow for organ donation. As an aunt my niece desperately needed a kidney transplant. My niece at 15yo asked if she was going to die as she was wheeled to the operating room. My sister died a quiet death with each decline in my niece's health. She too wanted reassurance that her daughter would live. We honor the donor at birthdays, at the donor's anniversary of death. If you could see the before and after photos of my niece you would know the full measure of this gift. The people lining the walls want the donor's family to know that their loved ones life mattered, that through dononation a life lives on. While the walk of life is not something you find comforting many families do. The families also pour over comments to find comfort and to reassure themselves they made the right decision. Please be respectful.
I don’t watch depressing RU-vid videos. Life is short, be happy and spread the love. Funerals are for family and friends and not to be exploited on social media.
@@katinabottenthis is not a funeral nor is this depressing if you understand the situation! Yes it is sad for this family but this person is a donor for other people to live on. I know a young boy 8 years old that was born with kidney failure. He received a kidney because of a person and their family were willing to do this heroic act of kindness. He has had his kidney a little over a year ago! This is a time to respect this families and persons last wishes and to know their loved one even though they lost their life they are saving others! It is not a time to post negative thoughts on here. If you don’t like to watch this than fine leave quietly please you don’t have to post. Family members read this later. Some day it maybe you that needs a transplant than you will be thankful. God Bless this family and may the Good Lord be close to the broken hearted as He promises in His word! Comfort them and Lord please be with the recipients the Doctors, nurses and all involved for these transplants. Guide and lead them each step of the way! Psalms 34:18-20 The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed. The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time. For the Lord protects the bones of the righteous; not one of them is broken!
God bless this family for choosing to give the gift of life to another person. My dad was blessed with a double lung transplant which gave him a second chance to life
Sometimes, donor tissues aren't lifesaving, but they are life-enhancing. I know a woman who had to have a cornea transplant at the same time as her recent cataract surgery, and my friend's stepson had knee surgery and they used cadaver cartilage to fix him up.
Truly a hero. The selfless of the family gave my son a second chance of life 5 years ago. Amazing . Sorry for your loss . My thoughts are with you all 😢
Someone filmed this, and I’m pretty sure the dead person never gave consent in life to be exploited on social media! Shame on the person who uploaded this video. This is something that should be private between family and friends
I will donate my organs upon my death, but I am afraid to select donor on my driver's license because I have been told when they see donor on your license they won't try hard to save your life, so I have decided to wait until my death and have my kin tell them I will donate.
@@pattherrell3373 yeah, I get the honor walk, I've seen hundreds of them, unfortunately, but never with clapping. While it's a celebration of life for others, first and foremost, the immediate family/friends are doing their final walk with their loved ones and preparing to saying goodbye, clapping should be reserved for the patient who is receiving the organs. The honor walk is a somber respectful ceremony where I work but I guess everyone is different.
The patient is an organ donor. Hospital staff and others line the hallway on the way to the operating room to honor her for her generosity and that of her family.
