Does appear to have some skills. But then not hard to look good with that competition. About all of them came into that corner in the wrong gear. I thought a couple were going to stop. And the fools with the side by sides... smh. Those damn things are too narrow and top heavy. Add to that inability to use your weight, don't stand a chance.

***** These trucks are not running "nitro." Nitro is short for nitromethane, and I can assure you these guys aren't using it. If you are referring to nitrous oxide, I highly doubt they are using any because there is no way a bottle would last an entire race like this. If it did, it would only be because they are using a very small shot. And besides, nitrous doesn't really change the sound of an engine dramatically. It helps it rev quicker and it would be SLIGHTLY louder due to more air and fuel being burned in each cylinder, but it's nothing dramatic.

Getting to be a popular class. Look up by the head rack, there is an intercooler sitting there.

You're right; most of these machines were made in the 80s, when Pikes Peak was still dirt. And a lot of these like the truck at 7:26 are just as fast as the Subarus while being much more interesting, creative, allround more exciting to watch.

@@Ethan-ck6iz i love scoobies, they are blast to drive (i have one, strictly off road/ fire roads ), but i'd kill to get one of classic V8, modified for events like this.

we may have cars with good handling, but cars are impersonal as f**k. drive one, drive them all.
