I just searched temple canyon road out of curiosity after finding it on google maps exploring around the area since, and this video popped up. Cool to see theres a local racing scene, and that they're still doing it 9 years later according to the chca website. I think i found my new hobby possibly

This video is perfect for anyone who doesn't know what the difference is between solid axle or irs (independent rear suspension) and why one is better than the other in different situations. You will see how much faster the IRS is around corners if you have the correct set up. Then you have the solid rear axle which is better when you are wanting to slide around the corner

To all the folks to say they are going slow, that road is a couple miles from me, and I drive it often. That pair of hairpin turns are narrow, and visibility as they go out of frame turns into sky at higher speeds, meaning anything above 20mph or so, and they are super tight turns. Not to mention most of these drivers are not local to the area, so they don't know the road: traveling blind.

The 2013 CHCA season started last month in Pueblo, CO. Temple Canyon 2013 is this weekend (May 11-12)!! It is run by the Colorado Hill Climb Association. the actual torque truck was sick. prolly the best. my favorite was the drifter in the 92 Black ford. but it seemed like the subbies had the best line around the corners imo
