I used your code for this several months ago and I'm still doing the subscription. I really love how you can switch up your choices every time, and the quality has been awesome.
Quite a few years ago I was scheduled to attend a convention for my job at the time (which, of course, 100% was paid for by my employer) and the day before I was to leave my toddler got very ill. I told my employer that I would not be able to attend because my child was sick. Her response? "Stay home and take care of your daughter, she's the most important". F these people who try to guilt other women!
Not to mention how much it costs to attend this. The company I worked for also had a yearly meeting that we already joked it was like a cult meeting with regurgitated corporate propaganda. You know, normal corporate stuff that multinationals say. But alas, the company handled everything - hotel, flight, catering and even a daily allowance. Every business trip provided such an allowance, it was standard and not just for this yearly meeting. Being there in-person was, though, optional. But corporations are the real scams, right?
Klarna? All these things like Klarna, AfterPay, and the like scream predatory. If you need to use these to buy something than you obviously shouldn't be shopping, buying things you can't afford, and focusing on your needs vs. your wants.
Last summer, my sisters and I stayed at a hotel that was hosting a meeting for FEG (an insurance MLM). They all looked dead eyed and not having fun at all lol. Whereas my sisters and I were walking around with our Taylor Swift concert shirts and merch having the time of our lives (we were in town for her concert)!! We still talk about how miserable these FEG people looked.
Lol, my lack of fashion sense is showing - when she said she was on the way to the airport and that's why she was wearing the outfit I thought "Oh, comfy clothes and an ugly bucket hat, that makes sense" not realizing it was expensive and supposed to be showing off.
No, you're not the one without fashion sense. Fashion sense is the ability to have an inspired/interesting approach to dressing yourself. Just buying what's trendy or items that have an obvious luxury brand label, won't guarantee that you look good.
I’m packing for a company training. My travel, car, hotel and meals are paid for by the company. I also attend company meetings twice a year with all expenses paid. After the training I get the do whatever I want. The last I want to do is post about my work. I love it my work but I leave it at work. I don’t have to buy designer stuff to peacock around my coworkers, Monat is so dumb. Here to support another Hannah.
I just returned from 3 day event hosted by the company that provides the software we use at work, fully paid of course. Like 75% of the people in my line of work are men and it's so funny to imagine their reactions if I showed up in ugly designer clothes and stage make-up while they all paired their usual jeans with a button down shirt and feel dressed up ... because it's not a t-shirt after all. 😂
I live in an area where MLM huns run rampant. I also happen to have very thick, curly hair. This has made me a prime target for Monat girlies who love to tell me that I "have gorgeous hair!" and they have "a great opportunity for me" until I tell them no thanks and that I already have a hair routine that works for me. All of a sudden "it's a shame that I won't even try to fix my hair's issues" and "oh well, if you ever change your mind you could actually change your life". What a joke.... P.S. Glad to see you back! It's been said a million times already, but please keep fighting the good fight. It's because of content like yours that people like me know to look out for these scams and the people that try to push them.
Speaking as a black person with curly hair, their blatant discrimination was on full display. For many non-blacks/POC's, anything that isn't straight hair is seen as unkempt and bad. They have zero interest in understanding any other hair texture. All the more reason to swerve around these huns because that shampoo and conditioner isn't meant for those with curls and coils (and I do not lament that one bit!) 😂
I’m an Uber driver in Orlando, and I had no idea that Monations would be here. LITTLE DID I KNOW that I would end up getting a request to pick up from the Marriott. Come to find out, it was the last night where they threw this roaring 20s party. I thought these ladies were coming from a wedding and made the mistake of asking them what event they came from. I ended up being sales pitched Monet. *how shocking* Shut that down all real fast when I told them I’m worried about losing my hair from Monet products. If I hadn’t stumbled upon Hannah’s videos LITERALLY THAT WEEK, who knows what would have happened. Thanks Hannah! You’re appreciated more than you know!
On the part with the woman talking about taking the private jet, I actually burst out laughing when you said "Dior hat." At first glance with the hat and vest, my immediate reaction was, "It looks like she's going fishing."
A relative of mine just joined Enagic. Yeah, I tried to inform her, but "it's not a pyramid scheme!" She is the kindest, most loving person I've ever met. Long story short, her upline gave her crap over going to the ER when her 3 month old grand baby ran a serious fever. (She's ok). My relative was in tears after her upline fussed at her. Hey, I tried.
I work a corporate job that often sends people from Georgia to Florida for training. Hotel, rental cars, gas, flights, meal stipends, and salary are covered by the company. We only get trained for 8 hours a day, and then after that, you are free to do what you want.
@@christopherborum6551 Sadly no. My employer doesn't prey on my faith to get product sales and unpaid labor from me. I will take this issue up with them at our next zoom call.
People with normal 9-5 jobs don't have to constantly defend their position or their business. The fact that there are 'haters' at all should clue them in to some truth you'd think.
Yeah lol if someone insulted the place I work for (a place I do happen to love) I'd be like "alright fine, they have their downsides." I wouldn't go on a social media rampage about it.
You do so well at providing enough info for new viewers to get up to speed while not feeling boring and repetitive to long-time viewers. That is not an easy task, and you nail it every time!! Well done!!
Don’t most companies pay for their employees, managers, executives, etc to go to conventions…. It’s so weird that these people have to pay to be at a work function.
In my experience they do. One place I worked at did this convention where all the people in the stores and head office in Canada were invited at this convention. It was in the head office city, where I am, and I was even paid the hotel room even if I could have gone back at my house. I do think they did that to avoid drinking and driving.
Yeah, I've traveled a lot for work, from site visits to training and leadership retreats. Any time I'm going somewhere for work, my company pays for everything, including a food stipend. If they told me I had to pay for company travel, I'd laugh the entire way out the door to a new job.
Privet jet to a monet convention is absolutely disgusting. Not only are they spending an absurd amount of money on this crap hair care brand but also consuming an absurd amount of jet fuel for said nasty hair care brand.
I laughed so hard when I saw the badge ribbons. I attend a huge comic con style nerd convention every year called DragonCon, and people make these badge ribbons to hand out throughout the weekend. It's a silly competition to see how long people can get their collections, and some people even collect enough badge ribbons to construct full capes and costume pieces. There's a contest where people hang their badge ribbons off third and fourth floor balconies to see how far they can go. It's hilarious and all in good fun. The ribbons say things like, "Kirk vs Picard" or "Han Shot first" -- sci-fi and nerdy references of all kinds. It is just hysterical to me that these Monat ladies are taking something like this SO SERIOUSLY when the nerds are doing it as a joke. They are a joke!!!
As a deeply religious person I am upset at the hiring of a pastor, using scripture out of context and putting a Bible verse on the company logo card. This is pathetic and a mockery of Christian worship.
I feel really bad for all those hotel employees. I grew up in a tourist town, and regular tourists are pretty insufferable at best. These people are tourists with super inflated egos.
“the Lord is at the center of the company”. That, there almost made me cry! That sort of thing is exactly what Jesus got mad at about the temple! I did not thing these things were that real 😤
I've never seen anyone so happy about a gift from their company. To me a "gift" from the company is to make you feel special without showing it in a monetary way
😂 I'm from Germany and I'm telling you: we have great anti MLM content creators and public indipendent TV broadcasters who will shred them to bits 🙌🏻 Monat you shall not pass (the ocean) 😂
The way they credit God is insulting. He does not care about their scummy scheme and he would not approve of them scamming other people. Absolutely disgusting in my opinion.
This looks exactly like the Mary Kay cult conventions that my brothers girlfriend goes to every year. She drags him along as well and that seems to be their "vacation".
So, I'm from Germany and i can already tell you-Germany goes pretty fast against Pyramidshemes, the only way to get rid of their product would be tele-shopping. But our Productstandarts are super high so i'd be suprised if they could just sell their crap in the stores
No fudging way is Monat trying to launch in Germany and Belgium. The show we're about to witness is unreal 🍿 If they even make it that far. Have they checked the legalities? Are they even consulting a law firm? I wanna say they will pull back as soon as they see what tight labour law protection the EU offers employees, employers, and customers. Edit: and that's not even talking about getting their products approved for sale in the EU market...
These mlm conferences give me flash backs of the many religious conferences I've gone to in the past. It never ceases to amaze me how similar these are to those.
Anti mlm is actually how I got out of the religious cult I grew up in. Basically the same thing but instead of recruiting salespeople churches recruit souls lol
I'm pretty sure me and the Monat chick's don't know the same God. Mine wants what's best for you. And he knows that's not Monat. I hate, hate, hate the faith part of their "cult". As someone who has had God work in my life, who has a deep, personal faith, it just makes me sooooo angry. Ughhh...
i’m a christian and i’m so tired of people saying that “God planned this for you”. like no he did not. you’re just scamming and taking advantage of people. i don’t think God said anything about your weird company 💀
I'd actually be curious if there was some of that level of networking happening then. Could relatively easily test the waters and see if you can bring some of your new friends with you.
The long chain of badges sounds so stupid and uncomfortable. Imagine spending a ton of money and time to get the perfect outfit... just to have it ruined by that huge paper thing that swishes between your legs while you walk 🙄🙄
There are kids who can’t afford their school lunches and we have people attending Monations. Fully aware there are much worse people in our society, but these are the most obnoxious and insufferable.
The Klarna announcement also really scared me. All of these afterpay programs are just new extensions of the "just put it on your credit card" mentality. So many young adults go into debt because they think there's no strings attached or it's free money. Don't finance ANYTHING besides land, a house, and be careful when financing cars. If you can't pay for this MLM crap upfront then DON'T PAY FOR IT AT ALL.
It's ridiculous that they shame other "market partners" for not spending thousands to go on a glorified work trip....most of which cannot afford to go on a vacation with family, keep up with bills etc.... it is soooo disgusting to do that to ANYONE!!!!
If someone told me i had to pay several months' worth of paychecks to fly out to a convention and hype up my (very normal) retail job i would scream 😭 like yeah I DON'T care about the business actually I just want to get paid and go home.
I feel like that was my last job too. They wanted to send me to NY for classes but I'd have to pay half of the whole bill. Umm no? I was buying my first house at 22 and wasn't willing to risk not having enough money. So gross!!!
Wow! I forgot when was the last time I bought make up. Naive younger me believed that buying products somehow will change my life/appearance/status. Now I understand that I don’t even want to be around people who driven by desires and lusts that are worthless. If you’re replacing your free water, sleep, air with products - you’re fooling yourself. If you need logo on your clothes to make you happy - I’m sorry I’m not joining that club. There’s so many affordable great quality clothing and many people who value souls more than bodies.
Pretty gross display of the “tippy top” people bragging about how rich & awesome they are. It’s a bit like working for a tiny office & watching your boss flaunt their wealth while you’re working 5/12s for minimum wage to keep the place afloat. It’s just gross. And I’m sorry those plastic temu gifts are not it😂
The only professional conference I ever paid for myself was when I was a student. And I got a really good discount because half the people in charge were graduates of my program. It was like $60 CND, including breakfast and lunch. Since then, I have been paid by my employer to attend every conference I have attended, plus expenses. The fact the monat huns think that they attending a real convention, or are part of a legitimate company is just so, so stupid.
So, this is the first week of September, the first week of school for a lot of people, and school just started for many. Isagenix Celebrations was also this week. This means that, although expensive, the hotel rates are probably low (i.e. cheaper for the company to hold). But, if you are supposed to support Moms (and Dads), then why would you schedule it then? What a joke.
@@mackenziesmith5861mela luca came after legally her for making a video calling them an MLM. We didn't get an update for a while, but then she posted her last video with the comments turned off. Go watch it, you'll get why we're worried
As someone who travels for work, both commercial and private, if a company wants you to go, they pay YOU. Not the other way around lol. It’s not the flex they think
“No it isn’t easy to be here and ‘on’ when I’m mourning a major loss. -it’s not supposed to be”. WHAT THE ACTUAL F. if someone lost a child or family member this company is pretty much saying that’s no excuse and you better continue selling and make the company money. What a horrible toxic company that is.
I love how she called it Monet, although I envisioned it as Monae, like a girl’s name. I like that name way better, and I propose they start pronouncing it that way.
I have a "friend" well i thought she was my friend. But every time me and my family go thru a financial issue shes right there telling me to join monat. I unexpectedly got pregnant and i dont get paid maternity leave because im a hairdresser, shes telling me to join monat, i say no, recently i was crying to my family about the clients ove lost and have to rebuild my business and shes in my dms telling me about an opportunity and i told her im not interested in anything mlm and she gives me a speal about optimizing my income with it. Nooooo. I have to block her. I just realized our whole "friendship" just was her trying to recruit me. Ughhhh But she was at that Monations thing, shes bragging about it all being positive and so on. I know from these videos shes in debt and struggling lmao.
The designer items flexing is so funny to me. As i age and make more money, these things are less appealing than ever. Real taste is carefully collecting special pieces from all over. Not handing out wild amounts to corporate ghouls manufacturing tacky garbage as a way to exploit everybody from the workers to the suckers who think a prada bag makes them look important. Sigh.
It’s pretty obvious when hotels are booked in Las Vegas that there’s a convention in town because the rooms are ridiculously priced, so mlm Huns are most likely paying a crap ton. As an exmormon, I would not stay at a Marriott and their hotels have really taken a downturn. These MLM conferences remind me of Downtown Salt Lake during LDS general conference.
Its actually wild that the ‘sales reps’ for any company has to buy the new launches with their own money before promoting it at all… oh right but they’re actually the customers
I cannot lie, I LOVE HANNAH but I detest the idea of Monat so much that I typically skip all Monat videos BUT the stars aligned *wink, wink* and this epi popped on. I decided that it was more important to support Hannah than hate the mean girls. I was ever so happy to get my Hannah fix bc the facial expressions…PRICELESS 😂😂😂😂😂. I needed every reaction you gave Hannah. Keep doing the Lord’s work.
Funny, the Belgian government hates MLM's ( I'm a Belgian citizen). All personal selling schemes are failing in my country at the moment. Tupperware type lady's are quitting because the company's are applying for bankruptcy. So, give Belgian a go monat, I would love to meet your first, oh so enthusiastic, rep😂
As a Christian this makes me super upset- Jesus flipped the tables in the temple because men were cheating others in the name of the Lord. I’d be very cautious if I were those people. One of the 10 commandments is, “don’t take the name of the Lord in vain”, some think that refers to swearing but I think it refers to this situation. It says in the Bible God will deal harshly with those who deceive others in the name of the Lord.
My parents are government employees and often go to their trainings which are all paid. Granted they pay for travelling by themselves but once they come back they submit the receipts with some paperwork and they get that money back in their bank accounts too. These MLM are total scams
Hi Hannah! I literally can not stop binging your videos, I am at work while I listen to your videos at the moment and I couldn't be more excited to see a new upload!
I just couldn't put any MLM product in my hair or on my skin. I've heard the horror stories. And I have really sensitive skin. ACN had a worship service too. I'm a Christian and when I was at their conference in 2014, I found this unsettling. I believe Jesus would have been flipping tables. He hated that kind of stuff.
