For the stretch wide leg pants pattern, I love the California pants by Atelier Scammit - beautiful pattern, fitted straight ‘out of the packet’ and great instructions guiding you how to size relative to the amount of stretch in your fabric…
Hi Lauren I am putting cuffing at the top of a pocket, does cuffing have a raw edge as the pattern is not telling me to turn in the raw edge. You have been so helpful to me with my sewing jersey fabric, thank you.
Another recommendation for a top using double gauze is the Phoenix Blouse, like the one you did as a kit a while back. I had to do a bit of searching to find the pattern (finally found it on Etsy), and I used the same fabric you did, that was still in stock last year. It's such a pretty and comfortable top.
Hi Lauren. I made the shorts version of the Pietra Pants and watched your video from when you made a pair. I need some help in fitting them to me in the back. I'm just under 5'3" and the high waist came practically up under my bra area! I shortened them in the front without issue. But in the back I ended up only having enough room for a very narrow piece of elastic, not the recommended 2". And I had loads of fabric that had to be gathered. What did I do wrong? Any suggestions ? I want to make them again as I love the way they look in the front. Thank you!
Hi Lauren! I am relatively new to sewing and have a question regarding cutting fabric on the fold. I have read that fabric should be folded right sides together when cutting on the fold but every time I see people doing it on RU-vid, they have the fabric folded wrong sides together. Which is correct? Thanks for all the Q&A sessions!
