I used to listen to prime cuts, a Maine Public Radio program, on Friday nights growing up. My guitar teacher was Gary Whitner from blood, sweat and tears. I didn’t know how lucky I was. I thought moving to Boston and going to Berklee I could immerse myself and the city was too distracting. I should have stayed where I was at. The polish jazz albums brought back memories of that.
One of Gary’s better students played in a Boston Band Stomp Box Jeff Turlik. I think he moved on to blue man group or something. Great player and really innovative.
Hey Dereck, Yesterday was the start of the heat dome affecting Michigan that is expected to last for 7 - 8 days. It is the length of this extreme heat wave in these parts that is very rare, especially in mid June. Something else that is very rare in mid June is snow in parts of Colorado which they had this past weekend. What a contrast in weather conditions we are seeing in these times. Take care Dereck
Hi Dereck, I recently bought a live recording of Brian Eno, Holger Czukay and J.Peter Schwalm from I think 1998 and for my taste it's excellent. Take care.
Anyone out there familiar with Fareed Hague? I just found a cd by him at a thrift store. He’s excellent-jazz fusion with flamenco and Middle Eastern elements.
Hey, Dereck I'm glad you been enjoying your new music you got. It's always a special and powerful moment when we get new music. There's Nothing like it. It's a amazing experience.
The Schwartz album has been released both as a Kluster album and as a Schnitzler album, so you were right either way. Love those Michal Urbaniak albums, especially the killer In Concert album, though I always listened to them mainly for Urszula Dudziak’s contributions.
I have not watched ANY tv for lawd I can’t remember.....I had my cable dummied down and still it’s too expensive...coz I don’t have it on, I’m reeeely considering having it completely taken out!!!
Good day, Dereck and friends. It's a sad day for as my beloved 8 y/o cat (Mr BUTTons) passed away last night. He has been sick for a couple of weeks, whatever ailment he had is no longer causing his suffering. I'm heartbroken. Not "just a pet" to me. He was family. 😢 On the other hand my (newest) grandson , turns 2 months old TODAY! He is an absolute beautiful baby!😊 Life is full of ups n downs. Take care of each other, folks. Peace, from Central Florida 😊❤
Not that it will be of any consolation but I had to put down my cat of 8 years as well, and yes they are family members. Congrats for the new baby .....the joy they bring is priceless....in the meantime keep on spinning ......and greetings from Sunny Malta !
Ahhhh Father’s Day came or I should say my late partners bday was yesterday too! Happy birthday to all D🎉🎉ok long day i am here listening and watching cheers
Hey dereck, I don't watch a lot of films either. Do you know the comedies with Mads Mikkelsen? I can highly recommend it. The Danes sometimes have a very strange sense of humor. Such as "Men & Chicken. Greetings from the green heart of Germany, Daniel ✌
Have you managed to check out that nurse with wound record you bought recently? Also I am curious have you ever read England’s hidden reverse? It’s a fantastic read about the late 70s early 80s underground industrial and experimental scene mainly focusing on nurse with wound current 93 and coil
