I'm so glad that Ranger's surgery was successful! My dog had pancreatitis and always struggled with nausea due to reflux. Pepcid didn't help much because it was more bile reflux than acid reflux. Even though she was skinny, she had to be on a low-fat diet from the vet starting at the age of 3 and we spread out her daily amount into 4 feedings to reduce the time that she would have an empty stomach. I hope some of that info is helpful to your situation with Ranger... I also hope his little body adjusts quickly to his new normal and those issues subside on their own.
I can't even figure out how much to feed him bc he's only eating chicken and scrambled eggs at this point. I gave him a little canned dog food yesterday and that started the diarrhea up again, he won't eat his dry food at all. It's crazy. I def spread it out during the day though in smaller amounts mostly to make sure he doesn't get sick. I'm sorry you and your dog went through that. It's hard to watch them not feel well. Thx for commenting!
Your entryway is huge and so bright. Love it. Sad Ranger had c but wonderful news they got it all and losing his gallbladder too. Poor Ranger! I had my Gallbladder removed with over 200 stones in it and now have a 10” incision. It definitely affected me a lot. Could not eat anything without it coming back up, but will not go into anymore details than that. Lol!! I was finally put on a medication I have to drink every morning to prevent a particular thing from happening many times a day. I’ll be praying for your sweet boy!! 🙏🏻 🥰❤️🌹🌷🌺🌸🌻
Yeah that's exactly what I'm wondering about....if this is temporary or forever. Today he's done well on chicken all day but I gave him a little canned dog food and that came back up. Thx for letting me know! Vet acts like this is odd but I'm not so sure about that. I know it def affects some people if not a lot of people! I know my dad has had some issues over the years as well. And he was super nauseated when I got him home, it started immediately!!
@@dianasimplifies IDK if it affects dogs like humans. I have to take Cholestyramine everyday with juice cause I can’t with water. I’ve only had a few days with any issues since 2018.
@JaxFLGirl1222 thx for telling me the drug name. It's amazing how many human drugs that pets take! He's on Pepcid and Benadryl and another one called Flagyl for the diarrhea. 😑 The only thing he was on bf this was the anxiety meds and the supplement for his bladder which is just glucosamine chondroitin. Bless his heart. I have to just focus on the fact that the cancer is gone and I don't think he was going to be able to keep his gallbladder anyway....I think if he had left it, eventually it would come out. It was inflamed and had dried bile crystals in it according to the report.
Healing thoughts fir you puppy. We had a similar time with our oldest dog a couple of weeks ago he is 17 ge is doing ok. It was his kidney though. He is doing great now. 😅😅
@@sharronschornagel2714 wow 17! That's amazing. Somehow we never get past 15 years here. Ranger is at least 13 and now I'm thinking may be older. Bless their hearts!!! 💜💜💜💜
