Make it a point to always have ALL role actions on your hotbars. If you don't spend 99% of your time in savage or ultimate, you will occasionally run into enemies with interruptible casts that you would want to use Interject/Head Graze on. Who knows when's the next time you run into Chimeras with Ram's/Dragon's Voice, for example?

DSR Phase 1 requires interrupts. This is probably the best example.

I totally agree with your comment. I'm a RDM main & to have someone who basically main BLM on the show was like ok. It would have been great to have a SMN main & RDM main on the show. I prefer RDM & SMN over BLM.

It would likely be a significant effort to forcibly move everyone back to their home servers. They'll likely *recommend* everyone go back to their home server/DC, but it should otherwise be nominally the same as every other patch, just significantly larger.

i feel like that would be redundant - lillies come up every 20 seconds, so if you use a lily to heal and avoid overcapping, you make progress for your 60s blood lily, which is damage neutral anyways so it's better to use that when buffs are up, right? i'd more like to see some kind of buff they could use it on - maybe an extra regen? a small personal haste buff, following in line w PoM?

Rather than it being slated to be reworked, it's more that BLM is just in an almost-perfect state as a job, for what the devs want it to be. There really isn't much that they could radically change for the base of the job - switching between fire and ice phases - without fully reworking the entire mechanics of the job. On the one hand, this is great, because it means BLM players generally won't need to be worried about a SMN-style rework that might completely mess up a job they really like. BLM is going to be current BLM for the foreseeable future. Minor things will be tweaked for new expansions, but the core of the job should remain the same. We might get a new big end-phase nuke, or another phase-transition spell, or something like that, but it will essentially always remain as swapping between fire and ice. On the other hand, this means that BLM will generally never get much that is "new and interesting." We'll see iterations on existing skills, and things might be shifted around a bit, but the core of the class is going to stay the same. For some people, that means that BLM will end up getting stale, as it will basically be the same exact job they've been playing for years.

Scholars aren't really the only ones unhappy with their job, almost all healers are in general. That's mostly an issue of healing as a whole needing to be fixed, though. They likely won't ever put DoTs back in with any heavy emphasis, after removing so many of them. Back in the day, DoTs were useful/needed due to the poor coding of the game, but they've honestly never really fit the style of FF14, compared to other games that utilize DoTs. Most fights are just not really built around DoTs being anywhere near as effective as direct damage abilities. They also likely won't ever focus much on adding DPS abilities to healers. They've stated numerous times they want healers to focus on healing. Unfortunately, they've failed pretty hard on making that actually happen, but that's more of an issue of having way too many powerful healing oGCD skills and not enough constant incoming damage. They might throw in more combo healing/DPS skills like Assize and Pneuma, or possibly add things to job mechanics, but as far as pure DPS skills, we are likely going to be sticking with the spammable + single DoT + AoE, and that will be it.

For the first question, jobs/classes in almost any game tend to release in a more-powerful state than is intended, because this makes it easier for the devs to balance. If a class is too undertuned, people won't play it as much, and the devs won't have as much good data to work with for balancing it later on. While the FF14 teams usually tends to do a pretty good job on their own, they are still limited in the number of staff they have to test with. Data from hundreds of thousands of players is a massive help, but that data becomes less useful if people give up on the job before endgame content due to it being too weak.
