once i was sitting in the car with my friend, smoking some we.. cigarettes :) and we were listening to radio and i said "man, it would be so awesome if this song would play next". few seconds later the bass started pumping :D and it was some lame station, you'd never say they'd play something like this

yes yes he did, you have been corrected he wrote the song mondo generator on the blues for the red sun album AND was playing on the ep Katzenjamer. He was a year older than them at school and was their punk influence for their desert rocking years. Big part in the kyuss years. nonetheless you have admitted your ignorance,which is noble, but i reckon folk need to read this. g

To you two underneath I half agree with you. He seems a bit weak at singing on cd (just my opinion) However I saw them in Glasgow a couple if years back and he sounds awesome live!

it's been said many times... but i too wish nick is still in queens. lullabies was not bad but there were songs that crept into the direction of era vulgaris. the last one was still good, but i couldn't quite get into it like the first 4 qotsa albums. it's like it's starting to lose some edge without nick's destructiveness and mad vox to go around.

haha sorry to bring up josh in a nick video... but people complain about josh getting "softer"? this is sounding pretty sappy, almost radio friendly... certainly not "the one your poppa told you about" funny enough this was a related vid to ode to clarissa (the version by mondo generator with dave grohl and josh)

Sorry but mor eof the same, no one who played in kyuss do something out that sound. That so bored i loved a lot this sound but now for me is like emo, is everywhere bugging you with bad copies of black sabath. Ill love to see a more genuine sound in this days.

me or Oliveri? I mean, seriously, can you defend these lyrics? Taste is subjective, I understand this, but does this music have any redeeming qualities? Another cliche song about drug use and the lifestyle that often accompanies it. Another cliche desert-rock riff. Where does it end? Maybe Oliveri is a conceptual genius making a sarcastic gesture about cliche rock-n-roll while also profiting from it, even if only ever so slightly. I sincerely doubt it though... Your turn.

I don't like any of this band's music. QOTSA are a million times better. Josh Homme is a GOD! Queens lost only a small fraction of their magic with Nick's departure.
