From a photo I took in France on or near Claude Monet's home place, I have painted several sketches and smaller paintings of this scene in several media until I found the one I wanted to create in a larger format. This is my preferred painting in oils on 16" x 20" canvas. The video is not meant as a tutorial but a demonstration.
