Money man is what it looks like winning in your lane. He might not the most famous rapper but he got his base and from what he saying nobody else in his pockets that’s all you need
3:41 I worked as a labor relations coordinator and my manager said the best contracts are the contracts that everyone can understand in simple terms. Bad contracts are contracts when you need someone to interpret for you
More artists should study the rap game and take their time blowing up like this guy here setting a great example of how to not get taken advantage of in this corrupt music industry
The only difference is he came in the game with money so he had nothing but time to study..most these people flexxing their last few dollars and gone jump on the first thing they run across thinking they can recoup it but they never do.
Keep in mind hiphop is young man’s sport and young ppl are the easiest to mislead most of these rappers got signed fresh out of highschool or in highschool
Shout to to Ak for having one of the best and smartest artist in the game on his podcast. He’s slept on, I download anything he drops and it’s always heat.
Out gate mans paid 250k for promo, but listened to lawyer because he needed to be signed for the money to make sense. He woulda been locked up like a mf if he wasnt slightly intelligent
What I like about this interview already is how transparent and clear minded he’s speaking. Money man typically a mellow talker but this interview he speaking with substance
Record labels are built on the "Sharecropping" system so they can always keep the worker in debt year after year but always get their portion. This was most common after the slaves were free and needed jobs, as it was a way for people to "own" slaves again without consequence. Look it up, it's actually really interesting but sad
Cuz he does… within the first 5 minutes he signed “ just cuz” then he didn’t need too, then he listened to a lawyer. Buddy’s successful. But he a professional capper
@@2020GFE4 to 500 thousand is cap who do you trust with that much money while you preform 😢😢.. Then he said he gave dude 900 thousand in 3 weeks but makes 100k in a month 😢😢😢 CAP but what do I kno 🤷♂️..
I love seeing black people, especially black male artists, who speak confidently and clearly. Regardless of the substance in their music, it’s DOPE to hear the intelligence (from them just being human) in their speech
Was trying to become an aspiring rapper. Now at an old age I don’t regret not making it. I wanted the money not the fame. Wanted my craft to be seen and be paid for it. Seeing how it all works now I’m straight. Started rapping at 12 now being 40, Fk that avenue. Worked so many jobs over the years I am now a jack of all trades. Rather live a low key humble life. Still make music but for therapy/hobby. This ship has sailed. I’m cool with it waiving bye to it 😊 life is beautiful. Be you!
@@MoneyMerisalways pursue your passion homie. Key is to enjoy the journey along the way. Just like there’s good days, there’s gonna be bad days. It’s a part of life. Just don’t be too worldly or materialistic. There’s much more to life than what we’re being told or believe. Stay positive. Always pray 🙏🏽
@MoneyMeris That's why you won't make it. You believe in fairytales instead of yourself. You're going to fail by at the end of the day. You need to be so delusional that you think you're the best thing smoking. You using demons is an excuse to fall back on bc you lacked the courage to let yourself be vulnerable.
Running off bareface is crazy but also expecting not to see the person ever again is crazy but being somewhere and forgot it happen & the other didnt is even crazier 🤦♂️
People out here buying expensive jewelry before they find a place to stay knowing they need a good dentist and some mo shit, you really think they wanna spend money on anything
What’s so hard abt ppl understanding an advance is the same as a loan and on those there are interest rates, but artist are so caught up in the immediate money
I definitely wholeheartedly agree with him on that whole making it complicated shit... Like everyday life shit like at work with dealing with HR and shit like that like this shit they do it's like y'all make it so complicated but it really don't need to be that way but I feel like they just do that to get over on you and they own way probably saying it wrong but well he said is true and they use that tactic on us more than you think
thank you, and that one million is really to do your projects. i didnt watch but as a promoter and an app developer i try to tell artist this and they really dont get it
@@Jaywon97790/10 deal don’t mean nothing much now cause people aren’t buying records at stores, they are downloading them off apps🤷🏾♂️ those apps are charging more than 10%
I’m really a day 1 fan of bro. The first Money Man song that caught my attention was from a movie n his name was Money Jay. The song was called “Death row” he was signed to Akon at the time (not sure y he don’t talk about that). Years later I heard a song called “Plug” I had that bit on repeat n ain even kno it was him. A lil bit later he dropped Black Circle 2 n I was officially a fan ever since! Bro came a long way!
He the smartest rapper in 2024 today back in the day it was master P 💯 these type street dudes are rare in the game today everyone chasing the image more than the money in be tough an hard in F up deals yelling gang gang but getting finessed the whole time or get caught up in Rico because labels not pushing unless they recoop that next project bag which leaves artist stuck in the deal never able to make enough to buy there self out the deal frfr salute to rich gang stunna very solid 💯
Interest is what u pay in addition to principal. So paying back 700k from a 500k loan is 40% interest Vry high, agreed, but if yo income is stable, you'd b at a bank
