These tips are amazing! I particularly loved the tip about cash, this is so true! So easy to spend when you can’t actually see the money! I have been so guilty of the credit card shopping and actually am doing a no spend 6 months to pay them off and start fresh!
Doesn't it make such a difference having to hand over actual money!! I think with contactless and apple pay the value of money has really decreased in our minds but physical money makes such an impact!! thanks for your comment! xx

Definitely want to try a no spend month ! Love to see a video on the rules etc you have around it !! I’m a student in my final year my boyfriend and I are saving to go travelling next year and then hopefully buy a property in 5years!
I feel the use real money tip is good. As we live in a word where we can pay by tabbing a phone or card, it does not help us understand that we are spending too much. Also with a lot of children there is in the concept of money they're seeing their parents pay with things so easily and do not have to go through their purse or pocket to count out the money. I definitely always tuning to your money-saving advice as we are also saving for a room home x
It's so true - just tapping our cards is so easy and it takes the value of money away - now it's available on phones too it's even worse! Having actual cash is much more powerful for realising you're spending MONEY! We always try and teach the value of it to our boys too and they save up for things that they really want. I’ll definitely be doing this to an extent next year!! This month we gave up takeaways! We only have one a week but it’s become a habit rather than the occasional treat and we haven’t missed it so far!! X
Such a helpful video. Lots of people associate making healthy changes or choices with diet, but managing money is so important too. I recently quit my job after maternity leave so I can spend more time with my little ones and cutting down on spending has been really difficult. So thank you for these tips, I'll definitely be putting them into action!

Hey gemma, it's so hard. We've said this year we won't do presents as adults, although I love giving to people. Santa will still bring the children some things but we have set the expectation throughout the year that we are saving for our home and we can't buy things for them. They've been really good and they understand. Tbh they never really get a lot anyway as they have all they need but maybe try doing one or 2 presents but making into a treasure hunt to find them with little clues along the way to make it feel more special xx
