For example I send every month since january then monthly 500 euro, should I declare it all einfach? Since maximum amount is for example 2000 euro per year.
Thank you. This was helpful. If I am supporting my father and mother both, Is it okay to send money to only one account (e.g father)? Will that be consider? Or we need to send money to both father and mother's bank account?
Recommended is to send the money individually to the respective account. When you opt for doing it via the tax consultant, they could help the Finanzamt to understand the reason, why you sent the money to your fathers account and so. You can book an appointment with the tax consultant as well to discuss more in detail. Check out the link for appointment in description
Sorry for the delayed reply. One can declare it provided you have own income and paid taxes. If you dont have any kind of income, then you wont get any tax benefit and it also wouldnt make sense (where is this money from, if you dont have income)
Hey .. The video was really informative.. I have a question about a scenario wherein your child is in India taken care by your parents, should the money be send to an account in your child's name or can it be to your parents account? And also as the child is dependent on you.. what other proof do we need to provide?
Hello Team, thanks for this video. Does this depend on the age of the parents as well? E.g., In Germany the retirement age is 65 whereas in India its 60, my tax consultant said we cannot utilize this benefit (tax exemption on money sent to parents in India) if parents are below 65, unless they retired early due to some "inability to work". Any thoughts?
That’s correct, there are still possibilities where tax consultants can make it happen if the age is still less than 60, by providing some additional informations
Can I claim deduction for the money sent to my wife in India for maintenance and 2 school going kids. She is house wife but file tax in India for interest earned from fixed deposits and dividends.
If she is earning money in India, then it may not be possible, if she is a housewife and you are supporting her, then it’s possible. For more details book an appointment using the link www.vanakkamgermany.de/appointment
