@@msbusy978 Gilts, treasuries or rentes are the only true passive income as they are said to be free of the risk of default albeit interest rate risk and inflation risk still exist. These investments require little to no effort on the part of the investor. Even in this area of the investment universe prudent investors esp institutional investors engage in activities to hedge risk eg credit default swaps etc these gilts, treasuries and rentes are issued by the governments of the UK, USA and France.
