This is just a theory widespread, but Its not true because When the khan died they didnt have thé time to reach them and give thé news. Its more probably because thé Battle That they fought against thé Eastern Europeans were really hard and thé mongols Lost many man in thé battle of Mohi. So they had to withdraw to come back with a bigger army. They Never did It because of other factores.

In fact mongols first invasion of japan was good, they defeated japanese and took some islands and the capital of Japan. So you cannot tell that you pushed back mongols. Mongols were using grenades, bombards when japanese katanas broke on mongol sabres because of inability of japanese to smelt iron.

First things first Chingizes monarch title is Khan not King (Khan is not his surname. If we modernize his name it will be Chingiz Borjigin) and yes Chingiz is right Himalayas, Hindu-Kush mountains is hard to penetrate.

I love how Georgia first of all wasn't conquered bo Mongol Empire because of the Caucasian mountains which is shown as Mongol Empire missing with its knife and not getting Georgia. However, after they have conquered Persia things really changed and Georgia got literally destroyed.
