Monguí Boyacá, is a very picturesque municipality, with a colonial architecture that has remained intact in time and with attractions that have made it worthy of the award of the most beautiful town of Boyacá, as it is its main square governed by its imposing Basilica and the House of Government, passing by the stairs that were the exit to the páramo de Ocetá until arriving at the bridge of the calicanto, built in the 1600s.
There is another factor that makes this municipality particularly unique and that a large part of its urban population is engaged in the manufacture of balloons, there are more than 20 factories that started making stitched balloons, thanks to the teachings of Fr Froilán Ladino who brought this technical from Brazil, today are industrialized production processes that make the municipality even more attractive.
