The version of monism you're referring to is known as *existence monism,* but there's another important version known as: *Priority Monism.* Priority Monism holds that only one being is fundamental to all the other beings that exist. This allows us to accept a plurality of many things existing while still embracing monism because all things are one: everything is a part of a single fundamental whole.
