Wow!! It worked directly! I want a screen to my ZV-E10, but haven't found someone i like. And i have skipped this part with apps just for not having adapter, and cable, and adapter etc... But now i just used my original cable for my wifes Samsung telephone and bam! works like it should. THANKS! Now i have to find a good short cable. :)

I used to love this app. The wireless feature used to work SO WELL in this app. One update later it became the most buggy app ever. Now I just use it with the USB cable. Works but kinda buggy sometimes.

Thank you for the review! I'm using a Sony a7 iii camera for video mainly. I see in the compatabilty chart that my camera does NOT support what they're calling; "Camera Content Access'. I can't find the definition of that in the user manual. Any idea what that specific function is? What I'm really looking for is to be able to see my MENU Settings as well as Metering Mode settings which are normally at the bottom of the LCD screen on the camera (ex: Shutter Speed, F-Stop Settings, Metering Mode setting , and ISO normally all show at the bottom). Ideally it just reflects exactly what is normally in the camera LCD. I'm just having a terrible time seeing all my setting when shooting outdoors in BRIGHT SUNLIGHT (which seems to be a lot lately). Did find a setting in t he menu for 'Monitor Brightness' which I can set to "Sunny Weather' but even that's not enough for some of the shoots I'm doing.

Hi ! I was using also with the A7III, there's even another video on the channel showing how it works with that one, but basically if you need it for the settings you're good to go. It shows them all on the bottom and you can control on the app itself !

Hi! In theory you only need the USB cable, depending on the phone and the camera porta, but if monitor plus doesn't work you can try UsB camera Pro, as it allows you to have at least an external monitor on the phone. But monitor Plus is definitely better!!

Think it's very handy as a back up with the zvE1, if anything does happen with an SD card(it never does) i could use topaz to upscale anyway if needed and I'd be saved.

Hi I'm specially looking for a camera with this feature, that when I photograph I want the photos to go directly into my phone and eliminate upload time If I can do that with a Sony phone monitor I'll be a Sony setup asap !! Ahhh Sony has these things, if something is grey it's because something else is blocking it. Search on their website for this specific thing, but usually it has to do with Ctrl with Smartphone being active also, or something along these lines. The moment you deactivate the option blocking it, you'll be able to choose it.

Nice one. I just found out about it 2 days ago. I dont know if you can help, but I do have questions though 1. Does it work for photos? I mean, if i can touch to focus on the app then press the shutter button. 2. Does it record S-log3 even if the camera was set to show the gamma?

Yeah, it works with photos also! And about slog you mean in camera right ? Yeah, the gamma is just a display option, but the file is recorded with the profile you choose.

The Sony's advantage seems to be the Creator's App, which allows you to receive the image on an iPad and perfectly manage the focus with an assistant with a lens that of course works in autofocus or manual mode with an internal motor, so there's no need to add an external motor. I can't find the Panasonic equivalent anywhere.

Great video, but can you help me with something? I'm using a wired connecting on my A7iii to iPhone, and everything is great until i start recording. After that, the video coming from my phone is pretty choppy. Do you have any idea why that's happening?

Hmmm quite strange, i'd recommend you putting the phone in airplane mode, turning off bluetooth, and trying again to see if something else might be impacting it. But in theory, recording or not it should keep the amount of frames per second without issues.

Their FAQ says this: "For A7S II, A7 III, A7R III: IBIS is not available, other models do not have this limitation." So I suppose the ZV-E1 is safe !

Hi, when I try the app the actual focus zone does not display where the focus point is on the phone/monitor I still have to look at the cameras LCD to see where the focus point is

It should be there, in mine you can see that the focus white square is positioned on the eye or face of the person. Check your settings display, but it should be there! Which camera you're using ?

I tested the app with my A7 IV, it works great, but I don't have on my phone the square around the face/the eye for autofocus face tracking. It appears on my camera, but not on the app. Do you know why and how to display it by any chance ? It would be nice to be sure the face tracking works. Thanks again !

It's possible to overlay any image you'd like, but it doesn't do like some apps that update the overlay with the previously taken image. You'll have to shoot, save and then reimport the image as overlay, not practical I guess.

Hi, thanks a lot for the feedback! Yes, the a6700 is compatible ! And so far, I've seen that the phone actually charges the camera, if you have the USB Charge option on, I'm not sure there's a way to do the opposite, but would be great!

hahahahah tamo junto ! Po, eu abandonei os monitores externos e to so com o smartphone. Menos cabos, baterias, e treco pra carregar. O app tem tudo q eu preciso e roda liso usando o cabo. Unica coisa è q se tu tem so um smartphone ele vai ficar pendurado na camera o tempo todo nè, incomodo se tu precisar usar ele. No meu caso eu tenho um extra entao è de boa.

@@FlyEnri and You can’t turn off auto rotate, I download it , it’s really good but I always record in vertical mode so I want to see all screen on my phone , if I rotate my phone to vertical , then all screen is rotating and scaling , so I see it only on the 1/3 of screen at the centre , it’s same size as on camera one I have to rotate my head 😅 to see it correctly

Is it possible to shoot vertically with the app? Mine, when I turn the camera to a vertical position (with the cell phone in "standing"/"stories" format), the view on the cell phone is in portrait mode, that is, it loses all the advantage of using the cell phone as an external monitor , and in addition the cell phone image is the opposite of the camera image. Is there any way to fix this?

The only thing I noticed is that sometimes it flips upside down at the beginning, so I need to enable and disable the rotation, and then it turns right. The controls keep being on the sides in this case (when it's vertical I mean).

Hi !! You'd like the screen to flip vertical you mean ? It acts like the LCD on the camera, it won't flip vertical like that ! But if you have a support for the phone, that allows you to rotate it, you could do that !

Tried the paid version of the app with a Sony alpha 7 iv. And was facing a problem: a few shots were totally out of focus although the app's peaking function claimed that it was clearly in focus. But as mentioned earlier: the shots were that much out of focus as it never happens to me. Any idea?

Depends on each phone's battery, but it's basically screen on time that will dictate. Just remember to turn off the power supply on the camera, otherwise it will suck the battery from the phone to keep the camera on.

Have you tried clicking on the SD card symbols in the bottom middle part ? You can access live from the camera, or in the settings ask it to record a low res version on the phone also.

It's possible to do it with USB Camera app, but then I need Video capture card, HDMI cable and OTG Adaptor. Sorry if it's me not understanding something. I just started to make researches in this topic. Never tried it before. :)

@@FlyEnri I tried it today! The only significant problem that i have is that when recording 24p, monitor + has 24 fps and it is really great, but when i change it to 30p, my monitor+ frame rate drops to around 15fps. Do you maybe know why?

I just bought this through my iPhone and it connects fine, But I cannot unlock the functions on my iPad? Does anybody know how I can switch back and forth if the case is I cannot use it on both of my Apple Products? I cannot find that information anywhere? Thanks

Hi! I had trouble also trying to use in 2 at the same time, I had to log out from one and log in from the other to manage, but the license wouldn't allow me to be connected with both !

@@FlyEnri There is no log in anywhere. When I open it on my iPad all the pro features are locked.. But not on my iPhone.. And their site is really horrible as far as finding information.. The other bummer is no where did it say when I bought it that it is for only one device. But the worst part is it there is no information anywhere how to switch between devices.. On apple or at least on my Pro version on my phone there is NO log in to anything, when I click on the generic "profile" icon it just says I can use the Pro version bc I purchased it...

I like this app features. I bought a paid version and from time to time (4 times from August 8) the paid version becomes unpaid limited. I have to send an email to developers and wait for fixing. Is it me only or other users experience the same problem? One time the developer suggested me to check if I use the proper account (ridiculous), other times they did not answer me, just fixed somehow and the app started to work without any actions from me.😪

I had trouble one time, where it updated and suddenly I wasn't on the paid version anymore. Byt all I needed to do was log again.

What does it mean "was log again"? When I paid using PC and started the app on the phone for the first time it gave me paid full featured version. No login or any other actions on the phone were not required.

After I wrote this message one week ago I never got any response from developers. I just tried to restart the app, the phone, tried to use "Restore Purchase" link, nothing helped. But one time I even do not noticed after what it started to work. Yesterday i happened again. I suspect that it was after software update on my T-Mobile Android Phone. I tried to tap "Restore Purchase" and restart the app. And although I use to get the message that restore was not successful, I've got working app. So, if it happens again I will try to use same scenario.

Hi ! You're right, it's because if you need a micro usb to usb-c it has to be this specific cable, with OTG. In the case of usb-c to usb-c any cable will do.

Hi! Thanks for the feedbackm I rewatched now to check but couldn't see any big issue with focus. Can you pin point some part of the video ? if you're referring to when you see the screen recording, and that sometimes it shifts to face autofocus instead of eye, it's just a couple of seconds, but the focus transition is set to slow, so it won't affect much.

1:22 your eyes are moving out of focus. It’s happening during all the video. I can see it even on a smartphone. It looks terrible especially if you use Sony camera. Sorry for my criticisms bro, but I’m professionally filming with Sony cameras. And nobody gonna pay me for such an issue!
