In this video we make a comparison between the professional video monitor from Atomos, the Ninja V and the Sony exlusive smartphone app called Monitor plus app. What do they both have to offer and wich one is better for you.

Love your videos! I want to connect either my Sony A7IV or A7RV to a Samsung S7 FE 12.4 inch tablet with the Monitor + app. Can I use a 20 or 25 foot USB-C to USB-C cable?

When I connect with USB cable I have constant 30FPS, but when I connected with WiFi, I have one major FPS drop every second.

Thanks Miro for the video. Can the Monitor Plus app & Atomos Ninja V be used together at the same time? So for example Ninja on camera for DP & Monitor+ Wireless iPhone for director?

Here in the US the Atomos Ninja V costs $399. Without the battery or SSD. But I would hope the cost of those wouldn't take the cost to $1,000 as mentioned in the video.

Hi, have you used Sony's free M&C app? How does it compare with this app? I read a comment saying this app was better, would like to know your thoughts though.

1:47, This shot is driving me crazy..😆it looks like someone drawing a picture of drawing the same drawing 😆 you used the camera to record the live view from the same camera? I don't know if it makes sense or my English is not good😂....

New iphones are 1000 nits or more, at least if you just read the specs.

Outside of external recording I can't find one feature I would miss if I used a bright enough phone.

Yes they are bright. I use the Ninja because of the recording capabilities and the pass through which can be processed in the Ninja V and the sent to another monitor or recorder. But for making RU-vid videos a smartphone is really good enough. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!

@@M1R0_Life_through_a_lens Why "for making RU-vid"? What about a film? What is the big disadvantage of using a larger and brighter iphone screen with all the features of Monitor+ for a fraction of the cost? I still don't understand what the limiations are.
