In the early 1890s a new breed of Great Lakes ore boat appeared- the Monitors! They were unique steamboats and none of their careers had happy endings. Only three were built and all three ended up as shipwrecks- one of which has yet to be found! What were they like inside? Who designed them? What made them unique? Why were they called "Monitors?" All of those questions will be answered in this video.
Note- in order for me to allow comments, RU-vid requires that I signify this video is "not for kids" yet there is NOTHING in this video that you cannot allow your kids to view- watch it and you'll see.
