Thanks for sharing this vid. I was there, 2nd row in front of Peter. I was blessed to get to know Davy and Peter during this tour and in the subsequent years. I can't believe 3 of them are gone. I miss them so much.
saw this exact show in 1986 at Red Rocks in Denver. Front row. I will never forget it. I cried through most of it. Couldn't believe my childhood faves were only a few feet in front of me.

They were the age I am now.. I was 9 then. My very 1st concert! Ahhhhhhh...... The nostalgia!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ I WILL NEVER NOT LOVE THEM COMPLETELY!! Thanks for sharing!!
Saw them in Phoenix that year. With The Grass Roots, Herman's Hermits and Gary Puckett And The Union Gap! Awesome night. Then the next year I saw them again with Weird Al. Another great one!
I was looking for a video, in 1986 showing how energetic they were ... I was in the audience on Sept. 7, 1986 - I couldn't get a ticket on my birthday, Sept. 6, because they were sold out I wish THAT concert was on video complete; Davy really had the entire audience by the neck and he DOES NOT LET GO ... 😮
This was my very first concert! I saw the tour at an outdoor venue in Ohio when I was 8. Eight years later when I was 16 I saw Davy play a show and while he was singing Daydream Believer he stepped off the stage. Before I knew it he was standing right in front of me so I said to myself, "it's now or never" and I gave him a huge kiss! Love the Monkees! Thanks so much for posting!
Awesome! I saw them on this tour with Herman's Hermits, The Grass Roots, and Gary Puckett. It's funny how I can remember the order of songs that the Monkees played. A great show, great memories!
I was there! This was the official launch of their tour, although I think the Great Adventure concert might have come first as a warm-up gig. What an amazing experience this was. I was blown away to see so many young teenage girls in the audience who had discovered the group from MTV.
The Monkees were my life between age 11 - 15 (1967 - 1972) - I lived for Saturday mornings and Davy Jones! I even wrote a novel about him ... then .... but it got lost through the years...... I just loved Davy and the Monkees with all my heart - even saw them at the Toronto Exhibition back in the summer of 1968 (I think).
love the monkees then ,now and forever RIP davy they were broth togther to make the world to shine with peace and love.they will all be togther again in another time and place god is great all the time fear not tomorrow god is already there .
I never stopped loving Davy ... finally saw the Monkees again just after I was married... (1989) .... felt sick when I heard he had died ... and whenever I watch these old shows and memorials, I just cry. I miss Davy in the world ... it's not the same world without him.
Saw them 5 times on this tour. Twice at Marriott's Great America in Santa Clara CA. then 3 more times at the Las Vegas Hilton a few weeks later. Same setlist with same songs and same jokes at each show. Managed to get all three of their autographs
Sunday, August 4, 2019--6:43 pm CST I love watching full Monkee concerts on You Tube. I hope will post some more Monkee full concerts on You Tube, son. RIP Davy Jones (12/30/1945--2/29/2012) and Peter Tork (2/13/1942--2/21/2019) Terry Marvin (Dallas, Texas, USA)
Shame Mike wasn't there. What was the rift between Peter & Mike does anyone know.So sad.And he was choked when Peter died.Would love to have seen the concert.I hope it's the sound on the vid that's rocky & not my ears!Miss you Peter & Davy.
Wow! Best version of little bit I have found! Way to go, the song was meant for you Davy! Just nailed it one and all. Steppin stone is too slick, I prefer the Japanese version twenty years before with its chaos. Peter is in perfect voice for Auntie, I wonder if he ever slipped and put kirschner's name in? Going Down depending on sax rather than trumpet as much is perfect, I wonder who the horns were? He pulled it off with the custom energy, for someone who declared in an interview he wasn't really ready for this outing. Peter phoned in shades of gray, but I think probably because he knew how icky the back track was. Randy doesn't have enough contrast. The version he just did with Circe Link is the best.
The tour officially began with three shows at the Tropicana in Atlantic City on May 30th, May 31st & June 1st 1986. This is one of those 3 shows so it may well be the first.
I was there too. Was good show up to point where Peter does the bald headed mouse in the shoe box gag for the little kids. That would be illegal today. Peter was my least favorite.
