@@Hanumovies Yep been here for ten years. Actually the local Foochow Monkey King is originally not related with Sun In the local story monkey king was sexy who like to play with girls. Then the local godness Chen Jinggu castrated the Monkey King then he become God/good. It's more common to see Chen Jinggu and Monkey King in the same temple compared to Guan Shiyin. Later the story of Sun Wukong became crazy popular then people forgot its original story and thought it is Sun Wukong.

Actually they have claimed the 'fictional' character written in the 1500 century is based on a much more ancient deity that existed well before... much like how we see Thor turn up in the Avengers, doesn't mean Stan Lee created Thor.

The name Wukong is fictional , but the beliefs in monkey spirits that were subdued by divinities existed among folk Taoist long before the novel was created

Chinese Dragons have always caught my attention, but never knew about monkey king, but one night I dreamt that I was outside a temple, and suddenly alot of lions appear in my dreams, and it wasent regular lions they looked different and I discovered they are Chinese guardian lions that are called foo dogs, then all of the sudden, the monkey king have been appearing in alot of stuff, like images, video games etc, but I have seen that the monkey king wears a belt with the face of the lions that appear in my dream or (foo dogs,) I don't know but everything seems to connect, Me liking chinese dragons,foo dogs and now monkey king, and he is so intersting

I would say so. The story Journey to the west is something that was written As an inspection For the monkey god. This is kind of the same thing with Stan Lee and using Thor as a Avenger.

According to Valmiki’s Ramayana, the story and Rama were not limited just to Bharatadesh. In another video I covered how in Bali too they believe Rama to be their king 😊. And soon I will visit and research in Thailand. It is likely some regions have lost parts of the story over time or focused on other areas. But i can only theorise or speculate. In Singapore especially, Sun Wukong and Hanuman are worshipped as one and the same. I will get some interviews there in a future episode 🙂

So from what I know is that Kalinga traders ( odisa) traded with SE Asia around 3000years ago.. and then we had the Chola empire Conquest of SE Asia around 9-11th centuries AD.. so that is how Ramayana and Hinduism/Buddhism spread to SE Asia.. It happened in Bharatvarsha only.. as far as I know bro.

@@adityaraj2447 i have heard this too but i am personally of the opinion that influence can happen more than once. For example valmiki ramayana was already around but later Tulsidas came and refreshed it by popularising it in the local dialect.. so there is a possibility based on what i studied of Taoism and its similarities to some lines of vedantic philosophy that there was a closeness there before too. What do you think? And then when traders came by, things that got lost or forgotten, which tends to happen when people write fan fiction or when leaders go off burning books of knowledge 🤔 But it’s just a theory.. Else what we would be proposing is that India and China both have completely dofferent gods including a monkey god. But by quality we can see many Taoist and Vedic gods bare similarity. But I am open to hear your view too bro😁

I have Nyingmapa empowerments (Tibetan) and there are differences across the world in the iconography. can recognize both Taras if painted or in what's called thangkas but in bronze or gold, it gets super difficult. www.metmuseum.org/art/collection/search/78194 Mazu is a fascinating bodhisattva. You'll be interested in the depictions of the dragon king and his sons. As you know, Hanumanji is an avatar of Lord Shiva (Mahadev). When Vishnu took the avatar, Ram, Hanumanji became his devotee since Shiva is Vishnu's devotee and vice versa. Lady Sita is an avatar of Mata Lakshmi (Laxmi if you prefer). Guan Yin also spelt Guan Yim, Kuan Yim, Kwan Im, or Kuan Yin, and Kwun Yum in Hong Kong is an avatar of the 1,000 armed Avalokiteshvara and Chenrezig (Tibet) assuming that the term "avatar" can be used for a Buddha. My working theory is that we should not use the diffusionist theory of one culture borrowing from another rather that there were TWO distinct simian beings who achieved all 8 Siddhis (Supernatural powers) and that Hanumanji is an immortal who came into the world to protect the dharma taught by Vishnu and Sun Wukong was conscripted by Guanyin to protect the dharma, specifically the sutras, taught by the Buddha. Keep in mind, also that there were several Buddhas so all of these stories could very well be memories or teachings passed down for thousands and thousands and thousands of years. The late prolific physicist, Dr. M.A. Padmanabha Rao, (www.forbesindia.com/blog/technology/what-this-75-yr-olds-story-tells-us-about-discovery-in-india/) had achieved a very high level of psychic ability . He used his physics background to document that the Ramayana bridge from India to Lanka did exist and was built, if I recall our discussions, 850,000 years ago. I have to find the paper he sent me. People are much more willing to write about their encounters or even friendships with faeries. But we should not just dismiss all of these "stories" as just "fairy tales" or "fictional accounts". One of the first things a sufi will tell you or a Tibetan lama or any adept - just 'cause YOU haven't achieved the spiritual level or been graced with or blessed with or good fortune to "see" and/or interact with the divine or supernatural or paranormal does not mean "it" does not exist for many have and many still will. Are you unhappy that the Taoists (one of the original Chinese religions who were the originals to introduce wukong in the first palce., actually most chinese towns still practice some form of Taoism, i lived there, i would know) are saying it, or are you saying that this statement should only be said in China and not elsewhere.
