Hanuman - The Monkey God of Hinduism - Hindu Mythology - See u In History Art: Marcus Aquino Color: Rod Fernandes #Mythology #SeeUinHistory #History #MythologyExplained
This truly was a very good depiction of God Hanuman. One thing to add though: he had a very unfocused mind like a monkey, but one thing which nobody could ever match is his focus and true devotion to God Rama
Life lessons you can learn from hanuman 1. Be humble, even if you are the most powerful being in the universe. 2. Use your powers for the welfare of others. 3. Control your senses. 4. Be brave and confident. 5. Show no mercy to adharma. 6. Improve your physical and mental strength regularly.
7) be devoted to karma and bhakti . 8) morality , ethics and language must be checked. 9) maintain austerity and brahmacharya and most importantly respect women
*Actually the monkey is a totemic symbol of his tribe (gotra)* Totemism is still common in India with the most common gotras being Bharadwaj (lark), Kashyap (turtle), Kaushik (owl), and Gautam (cow)
@@AnimeCritical a gotra is a tribal lineage - modern ones are called rishi pravara gotra because these gotras have origins from seers likely The ancient ones like Vanar, Naga, and Kinnar were yaksha gotras because the members of those gotras were called yakshas too (yakshas primarily lived in northern areas) Nag Panchami in Kerala wherein Nagas are worshipped is actually the worship of Malayalis’ ancestors from the Himalayan Plateau
@@jambudvipi Okay and you mentioned some gotras like bhardwaj, kashyap, etc. Can you tell me all of them and their meaning? Like how kashyap means turtle.
Very good description, just few corrections. Lord Hanuman didn't have an army, the army was that of Sugriv, who was the king of land of vanars called Kishkindha. Shri Ram(a human avatar of Lord Vishnu) helped Sugriv regain his land from his brother and in return Sugriv helped Shri Ram in the battle of Ramayan. Also, the batte wasn't for the crown, it was to rescue Shri Ram's wife Mother Sita.
His current location is tibet according to hindusam, and his species used to call kapi . Not monkey but half moneky and half human which not existed now
Some get hung up on the ideas of myth or fiction or its just a story. But Lord Hanuman, represents the very ancient powerful ideas of eternal devotion to the Lord, self knowledge to attain power, true belief moving mountains, etc etc. These ideas are very old and very much imitated in newer religions. 🤠
He didnt help Shri Ram win any crown, Shri Ram is above these petty things, He helped him in establishing Law Order Humanism and most importantly protecting the self respect by rescuing Mata Sita (Shree Ram's Wife) from prison of Rakshasraj Raavan (Raakshas = Devil).
Thats kinda funny since Hanuman is immortal immune to all Magic immune to weapons the breaker of spirits and ghosts can bend space and time posses strength that unimaginable Hes basically superman if he had no weaknesses after the Ramayan he becomes tHE DEFINITION OF OP
Those who are comparing Sun wokong with Hanuman, Please remember Sun wokong is a fictional character, but Hanuman is a deity worshipped all across India and other places.
People arguing with people of different faith that he is a 'Vanar' and not exactly a monkey or any other argument, needs to understand that people are trying to understand our beliefs. Please be respectful to those people and let them sock in the information🙂.
Im just learning about other cultures because one piece is getting pretty hyped rn and supposedly luffy was inspired by hanuman and now I’m trying to learn more to see if I can cook up some One piece theories
Hanuman was not a monkey. He was a vannar, which literally translates to "forest man". The vanars were people that chose to live in the forests, away from the metropolitan cities in India. They had the same culture/values as everyone else, they just had a different lifestyle and the men chose to wear a monkey mask and a tail, like how some tribal communities do today. When Ravan ordered Hanuman's tail to be burned, he clearly calls it an accessory.
He is half monkey. Forest man are called vanara but also the half monkey half human people also called vanara. So it has 2 meaning. These modern day youtubers spreading misinformation and people like you easily belive in it.
Regarding the story of the similarities between Jesus and Hanoman, I have no comment. Hanoman is believed to be the direct child of Batara Guru/Sanghyang Manikmaya/Nilakanta/Girinata/Jagadnata/Caturboja/Trinetra and Dewi Anjani based on Purwacarita in Sunda, West Java, Indonesia.
NOT THIS GUY he collaborated with a tiwanese studio in an strange attempt to STEAL THE ULTRAMAN BRAND FROM ITS ACTUAL OWNERS(tsuberia productions) AFTER DOING A COLAB FILM WITH THEM
Somewhat Inaccurate!! 1) Hanuman is a Vanara (it has 2 meaning) •) half human half monkey •) Forest Dweller 2) Hanuman flew towards the Sun and half ate it as in that moment "Indra" struck him with "Vajra"(Its a different weapon not a ⚡) and Hanuman became Unnconcious not dead.
Translate: According to the Sundanese version (West Java, Sunda), Hanoman is the son of Dewi Anjani and Batara Guru/Sanghyang Nilakanta/Sanghyang Pasupati/Sanghyang Jagadnata/Sanghyang Trinetra/Sanghyang Girinata/Sanghyang Caturboja. It is said that when Dewi Anjani meditated/tapa/semedi under a waterfall, Batara Guru felt sorry for her and dropped a tamarind leaf. Unexpectedly, this leaf was eaten by Dewi Anjani which caused her to become pregnant. Finally Dewi Anjani gave birth to Hanuman, was invited to go to Swargaloka by Batara Guru, and Hanuman was raised by Batara Guru's third child, namely Batara Bayu. Finally, Hanuman was called Bayusuta. Regarding the origin of the Wanara, this is due to the Cupumanik Astagina tragedy. A mustika from Batara Indra that was given to Dewi Indradi (wife of resi/begawan Gautama) which is able to make the wearer able to see all corners of the world. This heirloom was fought over by Subali, Sugriwa, and Dewi Anjani so that in the end this heirloom was thrown by the resi Gautama into the Sumala lake. Unexpectedly, when Subali and Sugriwa plunged into the lake, it caused them to turn into wanara. Dewi Anjani also experienced changes in her face and hands because she used the lake water to wash her face. Finally, to remove the curse, Dewi Anjani, resi Subali, and Sugriwa were advised by their father (resi Gautama) to do tapa brata/meditation. In the case of Dewi Anjani, the process of asceticism brought blessings because apart from removing the curse, this event caused her to be appointed as Batara Guru's wife and move to kahyangan maniloka/swargaloka. For resi/begawan Subali and Sugriwa, they have an equally important task. Namely killing Mahesasura and Lembusura (raksasa). Due to a misunderstanding when fighting Mahesasura and Lembusura, the two brothers became enemies (Subali and Sugriwa). Finally, their dispute was resolved by Rama. Addition (Ramayana): Resi Subali previously taught the ajian Pancasona (ajian = mantra) to Rahwana which made Rahwana very powerful (sakti mandraguna). At first, Rahwana was a very pious sage/resi/begawan, but because Rahwana was possessed by Sanghyang Rancasan (the eldest son of Sanghyang Tunggal who was the older brother of Batara Guru), he turned evil which in the end caused him to kidnap Dewi Sinta (wife of Rama Wijaya). After Rahwana was defeated by Rama Wijaya, he (Rahwana) was imprisoned between two mountains, namely Sundara-Sundari until the end of time. Hanoman was assigned by his father (Batara Guru) to look after Ravana who was confined between the two mountains until the end of time. This story is taught in the Sundanese language/base Sundanese curriculum in the area of West Java, Indonesia. As for the Indian version, I don't know. Addition: Thus, it is believed that he (together with Rahwana who was imprisoned) is still alive today. This story is told in the area of Sunda, West Java, and is preserved even though this province has the largest number of Muslims in Indonesia. This story, together with the story of wayang purwa/purwacarita, and Aji Saka/Ajivaka (the ancestors of the Sundanese and Javanese from Kali Serayu/Bumi Majeti) are taught in schools. Apart from that, the story of Ramayana, especially about Hanoman was often broadcast on national TV in the 2000s after the story of Wanara Sakti Sun Go Kong/Journey to the West. Yups Tang Priest/Tong Sam Cong...
I am a Sanaatani ( a follower of the Hindu way of life ). First of all, Raam did not fight for the crown, he fought to bring back his wife from Raavan who kidnapped her. And Hanuman is not 'Monkey God' - he is 'Vaanar' ( Van = Forest, Nar = Man ). So we can say that he was from a different species of human beings. Just because he had a tail it does not prove that he was a monkey. Also, monkey has a different word in Sanskrut ( Sanskrit ) and it is called 'Kapi'.
Hanuman is a split part of shiva's consciousness. Just like lord Rama and lord Krishna all are the human incarnations of lord Vishnu. When gods reincarnate into our earth realm they send their part of the consciousness to balance the good and evil.
In Hinduism the Avatars do not work like in other religions There are 16" guuns" that decide what trait the avatar gets Hanuman was a 12 guun incarnation thus essentially a different being if he was a complete 16 he would be just a form of Shiva nor an incarnation
I don’t know what God it was that I saw but when I was 15 years old, I ate 6 1/2 g of mushrooms, and eventually all the walls turned into monkey faces, the floor turned into lion faces, and eventually I went outside and the moon turned into a monkey and it talk to me and told me to go back inside by my name and I kept seeing this monkey god throughout the night. A stairway to heaven opened up on the wall that resembled the pearly gates, and I ran into the wall because it looked and felt so real and someone told me later on that they believe this was the god that I saw. Keep in mind I had no idea of any monkey God or of any other deities that resemble a monkey at the time in any way shape or form. To this day I think about that trip and how other worldly it was.
He wasn't dead but badly hurt so , b'coz in Hinduism even gods aren't allowed to interfere with death and life of mortals b'coz it is disrespectful to the god of death , YAMA ( he's quite respected) and Goddess of fate ie Niyati she isn't materialised like others but she has been mentioned as female deity who avoids interaction with other gods and mortals she just does her work silently
What? Lord Hanuman helping Lord Ram win his crown??? Lord Ram's half brother Bharat already given Lord Ram his kingdom when Lord Ram was in exile and haven't yet met Lord Hanuman but Lord Ram had to fulfil his late father's promise thus he remained in exile. Lord Ram didn't needed to fight his brothers for crown.
Hanuman was not a monkey 😅 like the difference between Hanuman and a monkey is like the difference between a human an chimpanzee similar not but not same
