Monkey Magic - totally enchanting and funny! I love you more than I can say. The story's mythical forms are FOREVER locked in my heart! All the actors were well chosen and complemented each other beautifully. Their accents made it so very funny.Hilarious from fromt to finish - just like you see the three of them hogging the floor, vying for viewers' attention here on a tv show.
Two stars of one of my all time favourite shows. I couldn't understand a word they said in this clip and it was still hilarious. They are so funny together as always. Fantastic.🥰
I am an imperfect human being, but as a child i truly loved the tv show all these people were part of. While they may not be buddhist, the show gave me a window into buddhism and good philosophical thinking. I like to think i now have a philosophy on life, death, god and nature that really means something. Of course i love science and physics too, but truth of what matters is not found in extremes, but somewhere in the middle and a bit of each. God and science are two sides of 1 coin, two ways of looking at same thing Thank you, cast of monkey. Love you all. More than a tv show, more than entertainment. Monkey was a gift.

Monkey Magic will always be my no1 ..My mother says at 6yrs old in 1981 i was word for word with the dialogue every episode. but i dont think i could have memorised it since it was first aired then...not yet as a rerun unless the abc just kept running it daily for a year which is quite possible it wasvery popular at the time and still is to me my no1 ...when he got thrown that bo stick and started spinning it exactly like his wishing staff it brang tears to my eyes he always be my hero nd my morale compass even if he did sort of enjoy bashing demons to death while calling them expletives hehe Thankyou :)

For me Pigsy took top billing everytime but monkey was a class act but they all complemented each other so well including Sandy and Tripitaka. Thank you for the great memories 😊😄
Monkey Magic captured our heart and mind. My emotions are propelled into overdrive with only the slightest remark, the mere mention of Monkey Magic. My two sons and I used to laugh ourselves silly whilst watching this TV series; we fell in love with the entire cast. That was a long time ago, Brisbane 1983/1984. I wasn't really watching - I was immersed in the story! Anyone who watches an entire episode becomes enchanted and somehow transformed whilst under the influence of this whacky Tibetan Camelot. Life was quite ordinary prior to Monkey magic.
Thank you so much for sharing this. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Masaaki Sakai and Toshiyuki Nishida having fun and hamming it up. Great entertainers throughout their careers and so wonderful to see them together for this. Like many, the Monkey show meant a lot to me growing up, providing an epic story to draw on for imagination and fun games as we role played our heroes (I made my very own monkey staff as a child and beat up a neverending supply of imaginary villains - the hills hoist bore the brunt of many story lines) and the counter balancing messages of peace, balance and deeper thought were beautiful and I believe helped shape me in my formative years. For which I'm grateful to the original cast but also to the bbc voice actors and the translations the writing staff produced which helped bring it to the English speaking audience. My childhood would have definitely been lesser had it not been for this great combo of artistry. Thank you to the youtuber (Deano Sharples) posting this, I really appreciated seeing these guys perform in this different setting and having a little nostalgic flashback. ❤❤❤
Great Performance! Both of them have had their own famous song in Japan (Monkey(Sakai) - Machi No Akari(街の灯り) , Pigsy(Nishida) - Moshimo Piano ga Hiketanara (もしもピアノが弾けたなら) However Monkey could finally treat the band as Monkey had experienced as the musician (The Spiders)
Could never get back into it when Pigsy was replaced! When paying Monkey in the Playground, Pigsy was always second choice! Nobody wanted to be Sandy or Tripiktaka!
Yesterday i discover Magic Monkey in LATAM that show never was bradcast. But this cast was amaizing and it was the inspiration for Toriyama in the process of creation of Dragon Ball.
