I've always loved this song and indeed every song from the 'Monkey' soundtrack whether sung in Engish orJapanese but I think this is the first time I've heard this version in full and I LOVE it! Maasaki Saakai brings such a gentle power to the lyrics and has an amazing voice! Thank you for sharing!
I translated it into English for you. Flowers and Birds, don’t ask me where I’m heading for. I just keep walking. I’ll not forget your heart and your words. I want to look back to the road I walked on before. Everybody leads their lives holding love Believing there is a goal of their road. They keep walking ,though not knowing what is waiting.. What will I say if I see you again? Everybody leads their lives holding love Believing there is a goal of their road. Flowers and Birds, don’t ask me where I’m heading for. I just keep walking. I just keep walking. Singer: Masaaki Sakai, the guy in this photo. Lyrics: Akira Ito Music: Yukihide Takekawa. Original : Thank you, baby ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7V1yAWOlEgc.html Drama Saiyuki is a story about Sanzo from a Chinese ancient capital who traveled to India to bring back sutra to China through Silk Road.
@@doshishakempo9165 i have the english version sung by godiego and it is different to the transation you wrote. are not godiego the originals? godiego speak japanese and english. the band has both westerners and japanese. my meaning is not that your translation is wrong, just different.
@jonny dazzels you are welcome. Yukihide Takekawa graduated from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, so his English is great. Anyway, the original lyrics was written by Yoko Narahashi. In the drama, two versions were used. Takekawa version and Sakai version. But definitely Takekawa version is more well-known. Masaaki Sakai played a role of Goku, or monkey. He used to be a member of the Spiders in the 60s. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-k-CMoIbGh30.html
Till I find my place in the home of the sun I'll just keep movin on My spirit won't let me rest till then It's a lonely longing There's miles to go and as many years And I can only rest awhile But you gave me comfort and consolation And a lasting smile I got memories Oh thank you, baby I still love you Oh thank you, baby You made my life Now the way ahead is clear Till I find my place in the home of the sun I'll just keep moving on My spirit won't let me rest till then It's a lonely longing My spirit won't let me rest til then It's a lonely longing
Eddie badass Davis indeed and i didnt realise until recently ,that in 2004 I think ..the english voice over cast voiced the 13 unseen(undubbed) episodes
I was surprised to discover that Masaaki's actual speaking voice sounds almost exactly the same as the actor who dubbed him A slight difference but not enough to make me feel like I was listening to a whole new person speaking
