At St. Madeline's Abbey in Le Barroux, in the south east of France, an extraordinary thing is happening. The Benedictine monks and sisters are producing a high-quality wine called Via Caritatis so they can glorify God. The region which they are using for their vineyards is significant for their Catholic faith, as it was the site of the first ever papal vineyard in the 14th century when the papacy was moved from Rome to the south of France.
EWTN's Colm Flynn travels to France to meet the monks, and find out what is driving them to mix their contemplative life of prayer and silence, with the hard work and labour of running a vineyard.
