The step where you write it all out, is that necessary for a test where is says to show all your work? It's so much easier and faster to just write down my answers. Also thanks for the awesome videos Mr. Buffington!
It kinda depends on your teacher or whoever is grading the work. You might be able to skip some of the steps, (I try to show everything) but the more you show the better chance you'll get 100% It's also easier to see if/where there are mistakes if every step is written down.
praveen nikkam the answer is 2x+2y and that is because once the brackets are opened you don’t put the brackets again in your answer. 2multiply x is 2x and 2 multiply y is 2y. Then the answer would be 2x+2y. It really doesn’t make sense to put the brackets in the answer once again since you already broke the bracket when solving the equation you listed above.
Hello, this has been a wonderful help for me! But just one question. At 5:46 you have written the final answer as -6ab+ 16. But in my class,They say instead of -6ab+16, it should be -16 at the last as the parentheses at the beginning says (3b MINUS 8). But I still think you are correct. Hope will answer me.
