Retired cop and guests covering all topics of Law Enforcement to change the culture for the betterment of us all. Dominick Izzo is a retired police officer from the Chicago area.
Izzo became a police officer in March of 2001 after his first test and served the Round Lake Area community as a patrol officer, NIPAS MFF, FTO, Juvenile Officer, Defensive Tactics / Use of Force Expert, DUI enforcer, community liaison, OIC and more.
Izzo fought against the immoral, unethical and illegal activates by command staff and village officials and spearheaded the efforts to expose them.
In 2016, during a federal lawsuit against the department, where Izzo discovered illegal surveillance, Izzo was terminated for a department policy violation. In 2019 after a successful fight against his corrupt former chief, Izzo was cleared, fully reinstated and retired with good standing. In 2018 Izzo ran for Cook County Sheriff in the Chicago area.
Izzo is currently a radio and podcasting host, entrepreneur, media liaison, and author of Before the Badge: Everything You Need to Know Before You Become a Cop.

His name is Nathan Lanham and he was forced to resign and this was his 3rd department he been forced to resign from. This is another reason these tyrants shouldn't be allowed to resign, should be fired so they dont go to the next department down the road.

I will always disagree with cops being able to stop us for tags . Those are our roads we pay for them with gas tax and we have a right to travel ,as long as we are not in commerce. I will never find this okay . You are 100 % right ,he could have went and got a warrant to arrest her . From what I see this dude should be barred from ever holding a public position ever again . To be fair if we know it is a cop we 100% need to lawfully comply with what we are legally obligated to on a lawful stop . I am anti tyrant not anti cop but it seems to be these days that policies , procedures and the traing they receive turn them into tyrants and that is something I firmly belive in . They need to understand that policy and procedures do not trump our rights unless a crime is commited or reasonably suspected. And yeah the trump immunity thing dosent sitwell with me .

Yes man!! Why do ppl have to comply with everything right away. Why is such a rush? If someone doesn’t comply can’t they be given an explanation. You are getting a ticket now but if you obstruct it will be a felony and Jail. Wait for back up and be orderly. With traffic stops….when someone runs why do have to chase? Unless it’s a murder suspect or something, isn’t it best for the public safety to let it go? Investigate and arrest late?

Traffic stops in unmarked vehicles is a bad, bad idea. Creates an opportunity for an impersonator to abuse someone.

I’ve always found “just comply” rhetoric ridiculous. If everyone automatically and smoothly complied, then cops would have incredibly easy jobs and couldn’t justify higher pay than a retail employee. They get paid to deal with difficult people who aren’t making the best decisions.
