Tired of energy monopolies dictating your bills? Let's find a solution! 💪
Energy providers often have a monopoly, which can impact price and service quality; but technology empowers people to fight back, especially with the #FranklinWH Home Power solution.
Let's explore the power of energy storage systems by following Ricky's expertise and experience. 🔍
Ricky has embarked on a journey toward energy independence, starting with an 11-kilowatt solar system. In Ricky's opinion, it's not just about generating energy; it's also about storing it. That's where Franklin Home Power comes in. Also, he thinks that high-grade LFP batteries offer impressive longevity and safety.
What truly sets Franklin apart is our 16-millisecond response time. When the grid goes down, the batteries seamlessly kick in, keeping devices running without skipping a beat. Now, he can control his home energy, no longer subject to exorbitant bills and monopolistic practices.
Join us in declaring energy independence! Say goodbye to energy monopolies and hello to control over your power! 💥🌞

I have 2 FranklinWH batteries installed in 2023 to my existing six year old 7kv solar system. I got the batteries for the peace of mind knowing I could power my house if the grid goes down. Just having solar and no batteries, if there is a power outage you are SOL. I have peak rates from 4-9 PM and the Franklin batteries get me through that peak time period. I could use them all night, but I like having a bigger battery reserve in case power goes out. One feature you didn't mention in the video is you can have the A-Gate shut off power to two high load devices (like your electric vehicle charger or AC system) in the event of a power outage. That way your EV charger wont suck down your battery storage in the middle of the night if your power goes out. I've had one power outage while at work. I got the Franklin app notice on my phone and it said my house was on battery power. I called my wife at home to ask her if everything was okay and she didn't realize the power in the area had gone out. NEM 3.0 sucks, and you basically need some battery storage with your solar panels now and the ROI is going to take a lot longer now. If you can afford to get solar and batteries I'd highly recommend it, even if the ROI is 20 years. Black outs and brown outs are coming... CA wants clean energy by 2035 and there is no way we can make it by then. We are not building natural gas power plants and our current plants are aging. Renewables cannot meet demand at night. The demand for power will keep increasing. Don't be angry when your power goes out for a few hours every day during the summer... this is what you voted for.

I have just had 2 Franklins and the Agate installed on an 8 year old solar system 8kw (similar to your set up) my final hook up and inspection is scheduled for next week. Did you have any issues with getting the system online that you can shed light on? Or any advice that might help me in the commissioning process?

@@bradley8apig461 Zero issues. Took about 20-30 minutes. Installer said FWH is the easiest activation he ever does.

@@FranklinWHEnergyStorageIncI have a question does the Franklin HW works in Curacao which is 120 to 220 volt 50 Hz. ?

Your utility bills make sense to get some type of system as an offset or off grid. In SC we run off nuclear and it is dirt cheap, highest with two AC units is $500 for a couple months, otherwise Gas and Elec are a couple hundred max per month. I went with Signature Solar EG4 self install system, under $15K total, have 30KWH batteries, 12KW inverter and can run everything but that second AC unit. I need 15KWH batteries and another 6KW inverter and I am off grid. It definitely helped that I built an RV van with 9KWH batteries and 700W solar to practice everything first. The hardest part is wiring the second load box in line with the original main box....your setup/software is superior to mine, but I can run the house on the worst day of the year worst case, but for many days without sun for everything but AC. The LiPoh chem is unbelievable, huge loads and charging capabilities, much higher than the MPPT can handle. The real problems are when you try and charge those car 50-100 kwh Batteries, 3-5x the typical CA home!

I have two FranklinWH batteries and they have been solid for us. The only negative is they use some power to stay warm when temperatures drop below 35F as they have to heat the batteries as they are mounted outside like yours.

Hey Rickie, if you had to do it today, would you go with Tesla Powerwall three over the Franklin system? Love the videos by the way!

Thanks for sharing. Important for people to note when you say you can start small and add on, it very much depends on the PV system you start with. Having a 3kw DC string inverter would mean you'd require a completely new Inverter to expand the system. It'd be more cost effective to start off with an adequate system for your usage. AC Inverter expansion for PV is a lot easier to start small and expand as needed. Thanks again

I would be careful saying it's "military grade...those can cost millions of dollars. Over all good review.

I'm not an accountant, from what I remember, you could only take the tax credit for solar one time on your primary residence. The infrastructure bill that passed changed that. Now, you can take the tax credit for solar and batteries as many times as you want. So adding more solar and more batteries can be part of your tax savings plan by maximing your tax credits on a yearly basis. I also went through the 300% rate increase that SDG&E did. I just replaced my 22 year old gas furnaces with a dual fuel heat pump system. I have not used any natural gas since I did that. And, I can make it until 5 AM in the morning taking power from my batteries while heating my house all night.

I'm very interested in LTO chemistry for home use. They have roughly half the energy density of NCM but they can withstand 10,000 cycles before they need replaced, they don't lose charge in cold weather, and they do not fail catastrophically.

Im in fl live off grid, use 25,000 kwhs a year 😂. I have 36kw of solar and 140KWH nmc (tesla car modules) i use the generator 3-4 times a year in oct - Dec Ditching the utility company is possible if you can afford it.

Have you ever removed the cover of the Franklin backup battery cover? I want to ensure there’s no leaves or debris on the hot components between the cover.

Do not take off the covers. You don't have to worry about debris getting in there.

What do you think EV Bi-Directional charging which is compatible with Franklin aPhub?
@FranklinWHEnergyStorageInc
@FranklinWHEnergyStorageInc 6 месяцев назад
This is a conversion device for electric vehicles to feed household loads, from DC to AC, when there is no backup power available in the household, it can convert the energy from the electric vehicle battery to power the household loads. If the electric car needs to be charged, it can be charged by Franklin aPhub, which is from AC to DC, and can set the charging time, power, etc. It can be used with the whole set of energy storage system and managed intelligently.

If you look at his examples at the end of the video he is not charging his batteries up to 100%. Between his usage and excess solar (from his few examples) it was not enough to charge completely. Granted it was the middle of Winter. Summer will be a different story. Maybe the guy is mining bitcoin 24/7.
