Great video! It's a funny one, this game. In the group I play games with, ask them which is the better game, Monopoly Bid or Monopoly Deal, and without a moment's hesitation, every last one of them will shout, "DEAL"! And yet... when it actually comes to playing a game, and they're given the same option, it'll always be Bid!? I have no idea why this is, maybe our group just has some unresolved issues to work through..? I see you have a video for M. Deal published too, think I'll just pop over for a look at it.
Love this game and your explanation of the rules! I have a question: If someone plays a Nope card on a draw 2 card, does the player put the 2 cards drawn to the bottom of the draw pile even if they saw the cards?
What i dont get about this game is when you bid for a property you can uae more than one card then before every time you ready to bid, or anybody can use as many cards as they want every Bid?
How can we use other actions cards for auction I mean like in every video I saw for monopoly bid they used only draw 2 but what about others. How can we use steal and wild to do auction. Like if we use steal for auction then what happens and same for wild
the first player who starts the game can only play a draw 2 card or start directly with the auction. if have a wild card, steal card or a nope card you can't play them as an action card it wouldnt make sense.
Just like with Monopoly Deal, this game is cool. It is only available for me to purchase it on Amazon and it is not available locally on toy stores or retail.
You might enjoy the Monopoly Deal I just posted today. I don’t an overview on how to play, but the end of the video is a Let’s Play between me and my wife. Deal is a ruthless game.
@@NikitaGamer64 Bid involves bidding and certain actions can be noped - including playing a wild card - which isn't true in Deal. I'd say that Deal is the deeper and more complex of the games but Bid is also fun.
Hello. I have a doubt that I was hoping you may bring to the table but maybe I still didn’t understand, haha. Is it possible to “nope” a wild card that is being used to complete a set? I mean, can it be canceled right away?
@@riffleshuffleandroll thanks. anyway, is there any limit money card to bid? can we bid with 3 or more card? and how about if the property card finish? the game still continue 😅
The game seems really exciting. By the way. Your movie about the game "wizard" gave me the idea. And I think you can play something similar to Monopoly Bid using cards that almost everyone has ... I mean Uno cards. There are 1-5 money, there are stop cards, there are +2 cards and there are "steal" cards, the ones with a change of direction. What do you think about it?
Hello. I just purchased BID. After playing 2 or 3 times, we got a problem which the instructions haven't mentioned. If a player does not have anymore cards in hand, what should this player do? Thanks!
At the beginning of a player's turn, every player draws a card. If a player runs out of cards during their turn, their hand remains empty until the next turn. At that point, they will draw 1 card. If the player wants to have more than one card in their hand, they will have to wait a few turns and hold on to the cards they draw. Hope this helps! Please let me know if what I put does not make any sense.
@@riffleshuffleandroll what about the action cards. Does a nope card cancel all 3 action cards in one go? If they choose to play that many. Can you play one. Then play another one after in the same turn?
@@adrianprice7959 a nope card only cancels one action. A player can play as many actions as they want during their turn, but they should only play one action at a time. Other players must decide to cancel the action before the next action card is played.
@@swathipoojary451The rules say you can make deals with other players to trade properties at any time. I say that means properties must be traded with other properties.
Hey, great video. I have a doubt, i steal a yellow card, which was under only one wild card..so now theirs only the wild card, can you place a blue card to finish the set on it? Because you can't move the wild card to other cards right
How would you compare this game with the other card games like monopoly deal and monopoly millionaire? The auction action seems interesting but I am not sure.
@@kristopherhayes1957 Sorry for the delay in my response! What I mean is Monopoly Deal seems to be a game that I come back to over time (rather than Bid). Monopoly Deal has a pretty big competitive scene in other countries which Bid has yet to develop (and I don't think it will due to the nature of the game). Deal is essentially Rummy with action cards, so the core mechanism is easy to pick up.
@SkipSolo thanks for responding! It is interesting that you say that. I never knew it was such a popular game. Probably it is similar to Rummy, like you said, which makes a lot of sense now that you mentioned it. As for monopoly millionaire, I have played that game in the past, and I recently bought it again. Although it was expensive since it's out of print. I'd say it simplified the money aspect of the game since there are only 100 or 50 dollars cards (the equivalent of 1 and 2 dollar bills). I believe the original Deal version had those type of cards, too, but they changed it after they rebranded it. Although I could be wrong about that. It also has a few new cards in that version such as a card that allows you to replay your turn and new golden property and rent cards which can be devastating if collected since all 3 cards can cause a player to force rent for 1 million dollars which usually winning the game (the other rent would be 300K for one card, 500K for 2 cards, and then 1M).There's only 2 golden rent cards to allow that to happen, so it is usually rare. As for gameplay, the millionaire version is a bit more fun since it involves players managing their cards. In comparison to the other versions of Monopoly Deal, the money aspect of the game usually becomes inconvenient or irrelevant since players who have the most property tend to win the game most of the time (I played this game a lot with 2 or 3 players so it would make sense). In Monopoly Millionaire, however, the way to win is by collecting enough money cards in order to get to a million, which causes the money cards to have more value throughout the game. This causes the game to be more dynamic since there is a tension between having more property and having money. Even if you have more property cards than your opponents, it would mean nothing if another player is close to winning with money. Likewise, if you do have more property cards, you may have more opportunities to cause rent by the luck of drawing a card, which also gets you money and closer to winning.
@@riffleshuffleandroll , if I may, I think that the game could use a few more additions, such as house, hotel, and property cards, as well as utility cards, not just the Electric Company, Luxury Tax, Income Tax, and Go to Jail places, but also other bills, as well as two additional decks, namely, the Community Chest and Chance card decks, along with some new features for each deck. Doing that, to be honest, would make for a far better, and more interesting, game.
@@riffleshuffleandroll If its my turn, can i play action cards after the vendue of the property card before to finish my turn ??? For example if i steal one orange card from another player in the begining of my turn, after that i flip up an orange card and definitely im buying it, after that, before to finish my turn, can i play a wild card or any other action card ???
