Great info on how the filtration will work. Looks like a big job to mov the filters. Looking forward to seeing the remainder of the series. Also, congrats on hitting 80,000 subs!

Loved how this video had the feel of your older builds. Back to basics if you will. Great job and very informative.

Nice job joey! I like the attention to detail that you put into the tanks. The lid for the overflow was sweet too!

I used the same method to create my weirs. How do you remove that brown paper that is on most acrylic sheets?

Hi Joey , I love your videos and tips. I just got a 6x2x2 foot tank and wandering what type if stand to do. I am thinking to use aluminium scaffolding pipes as they are light and i have to take up the stairs and the space is limited but the cost is quite high. The wooden stand type from this video will it hold the tank? the full tank is about 650 kg plus sand , rocks etc, will be around 750 kg.

So is it better to have a overflow box one side versus the middle

I don't know if the acrylic would respond the same as wood, but you can get a dado set for the table saw, it's a set of blades for a certain width, so you could cut half an inch each time rather than using the single blade to cut each "tooth" in the acrylic. Just a thought, good video Joey!
@thekingofdiy
@thekingofdiy 10 лет назад
I thought about that, but i would rarely use such a blade. I dont even know if a dado blade with a tripple chip design is actually available. The blade i used on this project cost me $90 alone, but i can use it for many things. I can only imagine what a dado version would cost.

abc xyz it may be a biological enhancer like Fluval "Cycle" it helps to create an instant cycle so fish can be added much sooner.

Hey Joey, u was wondering what tipe of glue or cement u use to cement the pvc together? I never had done that before, so I was wondering because I'm about to cement mines.
@thekingofdiy
@thekingofdiy 10 лет назад
Its actually just called "PVC cement" You will find it in any plumbing section of a hardware store. If not, just ask for it.

@thekingofdiy
@thekingofdiy 10 лет назад
Its just protective paper. It pulls right off. The paper only has a very slight sticky residue on it. It is designed to pull right off and leave nothing behind.
