yes... i have a scotty rod holder on my manta rag in front... real handy... works as a camera holder as well... all great tips on the divers pen and ruler.... great stuff...ty

I miss fishing out there. Last summer before I went back overseas I was out there. We ended up going about 20 miles out all together. Lots of cobia. some red snapper, couple of kings. It was a damn good day. Anyway, you guys have the best videos hands down.

Thank you. I don't have a Kayak, but always dream about getting one (and I watch the vids). I've seen mostly little, hard coolers mounted behind the seat so I never knew what folks did with large fish. Thank you so much. I just Googled it so, "Now I know!"

Thank you, yesterday we all got S.O.T. Kayaks (Wife, Son and I). They each got an Ocean Kayak Tetra 12 and I got a Necky Vector 13. I don't think they are nearly as stable as the ones shown here but then we haven't got our Sea Leggs yet so to speek. Got a geat deal when we found the right boat shop, he was interested on 1st contact, but when I said I wanted 3 yaks and gear he got down right excited!

Even though it is ridiculously expensive, I absolutely love it for saltwater, especially trout. I fished with 3" white curly tail grubs one time side by side with someone using 3" gulp swimming mullet, and I never caught a trout, he caught one nearly every cast however, from then on, I always fished gulp. We were using the same size and color jighead as well.

thx gulfangler43! as far as where i store tackle that depends on the yak im in etc... u use tackle trays a good bit... i also use those binders with the zip lock backs you can flip thru...ty

frozen ribbon fish , frozen sardine, live sabiki caught everything! rat-l-traps, jigs, gulps etc.

Cobia, or as we call them Prodigal Son sure taste good on the grill! Over here we get stick on rulers with the different fish lengths on them. Parks Board and tackle shops give them out every now and then. It's easy to just stick it on the side of the boat or kayak so you can know right away if your fish is a keeper or not.

Was that the wilderness systems tarpon 140 if so how do you like it because I'm looking to get one

the yak on the cover shot is a old ok scrambler.... the small 10' was a caper... the other was a ok prowler 13

sometimes tie to the rig but i like to anchor out.... the rig your talking about is about 120ft of rope on a pool noodle... (i put pvc in the noodle to make it rigid) ..we are always in about 40-60ft of water.. i just toss the whole rig overboard, i hook up to the float... ill unhook, troll around and come back and hook up and take a break... its like a little pool noodle island! ty

thx marc... id try to keep it as short and sweet as possible ... trim out the slow action spots and focus on the high action areas, i.e... water busting over the bow etc... good luck with that... luv to see it!

Another great video. I been watching 30 miles out since the beginning and love every episode. The question im asking on this episode is. Where did Sombrero man get his hat? Because thats a great hat and, I want one.

"This might be too big!" And then you pull up a 10lb fish. HAHAHA

i use a tarpon 16' for the offshore stuff.... some of these guys do real well with prowler 13' yaks... no problems... for offshore long or wide or both is best...

I think at least one of them is a Prowler 13. It looks exactly like mine. But the Tridents look similar.

if leak is fixed should be good for calm days... bring a bildge tho... u can use one of those pool sqirt guns made of a tube.... just in case...

Picked up a couple of yaks and found your channel. Great info and a lot of fun to watch. How far out are the rigs you're fishing?

What kayak would you recommend for fishing in a occasionally rough river and sometimes the ocean? Im thinking the Jackson Kayak Cuda 12, but I really like the Pro Angler 12 but it's a little out of my price range for my first kayak.

What's your set up with the rope and float on the front of your tarpon 160? Did you tie of too the rig?

I am not a big fishermen but that looked like fun even if I never intend to keep anything. nothing like seeing nature for yourself. an aquarium is nice but live interaction is better! being in the water is nice too, tho I wouldn't have the guts to go out as far. maybe a few miles but 30 seems to far for me, I like those pedal kayaks. you can use your paddles or your feet. rose

it would be awesome to fish out at sea with you all one day.

Which rig is the closest to bob hall pier? I can usually see one on the right of the pier alittle ways out. Is that one worth kayaking out to?
