There are some asshole Americans that say shit in the comments, but not all of us are like that. Most Americans are respectful. I like Gasjer, Herlings, and those guys. I think Cairoli is a great champion and a gentleman. He is one of my favorite riders of all time. Gasjer and Febvre are humble champions i like. Not all Americans are arrogant even if it looks like it in the comments. You're just seeing the assholes. Thats not how it really is. Euro riders like Musquin and Roczen are treated like Kings. Some of the asshole Americans in the comments make us look bad.
Unfortunately my friend, the stupidity gene is equally distributed among entire human race. There's no one country better than another. I am Italian, by the way.
+Simone Italian huh? You going to mxon to watch? just curious. Its a shame, but i think age is catching up to Cairoli. He's still fast but he isn't quite like he use to be. I watched the movie about him and his life story. very interesting. he's a very gracious and respectful champion. I didnt know much about him until the last year or two. very nice guy and a legend. Awesome
It would be a good battle. Webb would win on some tracks and Herlings would win on some tracks. They are both 250 champions and very close in speed. It would be fun to see.
Good racing. Americans do better on some tracks and Europeans do better on some tracks. Incredible riding from Cooper Webb in moto 2 to come from 19th and win. That kid is amazing. I would like to see him and Jeffrey Herlings line up together on a variety of different tracks. That would be interesting.
euros and Americans do best at tracks they're familiar with. i believe everyone was on the same playing field with this track since it was completely new and no one had experience on it. that charge from webb was ridicules tho. hats off to that guy.
+Yea Right That is true. it was a track nobody had ridden. Americans favor fast, gun and run tracks where railing corners, scrubbing jumps, and hauling ass is the theme. Americans excel on those kind of tracks. Europeans excel where there is sand, a lot of bumps, tighter, etc. I keep up with ama and mxgp regularly. there are some great riders in both. The second moto ride by Webb was incredible no matter what kind of track it is. amazing. Austin Forker at only 17 years old put in an amazing ride too. He was hauling ass. Webb was hauling ass on another level. wow
I agree it was an even playing field. No technical supercross stuff. Just jumps, rolling whoops, and corners. The same stuff that are on euro tracks and ama tracks. The track was more like a euro track than an ama track actually. Euro tracks are smaller and tighter like that. Ama tracks are bigger, wider, and faster. Since it had nothing technical like a supercross track and was a track nobody had ridden before, it definatly made it an even situation for everybody.
Yes that was a sick charge in the second moto. I would like to see Herlings on a 450 go against Webb on a 450 at Glen Helen. If they were on 250's Webb would have too much advantage because on a track like that with those uphills, the weight of Herlings would be more detrimental on a 250. Now that Herlings has wrapped up the mx2 title he should do like Webb and race the big bike to help prepare himself for mxon. I dont know the mxgp rules though. Maybe he isnt allowed, but if Webb is allowed then Herlings would be too. I want to see Herlings and Webb go at it again on big bikes against Tomac, Febvre, Gasjer. I hope Herlings rides the big bike at glen helen.
+Richard does it matter i agree. it makes mxgp more exciting to watch for everybody. If the promoters of mxgp would pay bigger money to make it worth it more Americans would. They should do that because the huge increase in ticket sales and telivision views would bring in a lot more money to pay that. Its all about money. top american riders dont want to america. The only thing that will get them to is money, and a lot of it. i would like to see it happen though
Tomac is a great sand rider so i think he would do well. I would like to see a top american race the mxgp series again. When Villopoto got hurt and couldnt finish that was disappointing. Before he got hurt it was extra exciting to watch mxgp. If Tomac or Dungey or even Barcia were in mxgp that would be neat to watch.
Oh my fucking god, can you stop defending america and europe all the time, cant you just be happy to see some good racing. they are all fast as fuck, at this point no nation or continent the other sucks, everybody has beaten everybody
That rookie has also beaten all the Americans in a few ama races. You cant go by one race, and on sand tracks Herlings would walk away. I like my American riders too and i like to see them win, but Herlings is a beast and Forkner would not beat him on most tracks.
Herlings was out for 6 weeks with a broken collar bone he only had one race before this one, jet lag etc he would of won hands down if he had been fully fit.
Hahaha you guys have excuses for days don't you??? We pounded that ass and you guys can't handle it. I suggest you not watch the race this weekend at GH if it hurts that bad
+Freddy McCool hey Mctool the Europeans were racing motocross way before the American it used to be called scrambling in Britain! I'm talking in the 50's! Your damn country is only 400 years old us guys in Europe have 1000's of years of history and culture remember how lucky you are for without us you wouldn't exist!
Great race. Hope some of the guys that crashed really hard in both races are OK. Adam C. really hit the ground hard. Anyway, American boys did great, but I have to say, those European guys are really fast. I wish they all could race in SX races in the U.S.
no you're wrong tomac is more better on fastrack sandy then roczen thats why they didn't let roczen to play on that track cause they know what would happen when tomac dominates and carried more momentum
You cant say Roczen would have won. Theres no way to know. Roczen was better where there were deep ruts and technical stuff. There was none on this track. On a track like Charlotte Tomac is just as good as Roczen. Maybe better. It doesnt matter. Roczen wasnt there. Tomac was. No way to predict what would have happened if Roczen had been there.
Those europeans youre talking about have been racing in the U.S. for years in ama outdoors and supercross. It was racing in the U.S. that made them as good as they are. Neither one of them won when they first came here, and they were mxgp champions. Plus Dungey is hurt and some others. If they were healthy Marvin wouldnt be in the top 3.
To sad we never saw the MXGP riders racing americans on the AMA like Cairoli at the same time that Villopoto and Dungey were on their prime All I want to see is the Monster Cup, MXoN, and the SMX Manufacturer Cup ( yes now the europeans wants to do some in stadium racing ) Dungey is going to compete there so Its going to be fun see him compete against some MXGP riders.
Love how everyone argues who is better lol at the end of the day it's an American track in America of course they're gonna do well. But it don't mean they could do an entire gp season and dominate. I'd like to see Webb beat herlings at his home track.
Webb and Herlings are both 250 champions and they are both animals. In a series it would be close. Webb would win more on fast, dry tracks and Herlings would win on tracks with sand. It would be fun to watch and it would be close. They are both young, aggressive beasts.
+Scandle68 yeah I completely agree that my point everyone's arguing who's better but they're both super quick and it would probably come down to tracks to separate them. Would be great to watch them go at it for a whole season tho.
+zZCHIPZz 1 thats true. Webb had the home crowd motivation which helps. Webb rides like that no matter what though. He hangs it out til the end and hates losing. He believes he can beat anybody anywhere on any bike, and thats a good way to think. It bothered Webb majorly when Febvre got the best of him at mxon last year even though Webb was a rookie on a 450 on a French track against the French world champion lol. He still thought he should win and was bummed that he didnt. That mentality is what makes a badass. He will be a dominant champion.
FIM. Are you ever going to upload these full races where Tomac dominated your best? It’s been 7 freaking years. Are you trying to hide the fact that the AMA’s best kick the living sh*t out of your MXGP’s best? Until Herlings, of course. And now, the best is Jett Lawrence. He’s AMA, but from Australia, and the best.
