For the glue seepage you can use goo gone and dish soap. and to take care of the damage and frizz from box hair you can use a comb(preferably a doll comb) and some boiling water. 1. First after cleaning the glue you put some conditioner in the hair and make sure to brush it out from the ends working your way up to the roots then 2.after completely combed you dip first just the ends in the hot water for about a minute or two and then brush it out. Then if needed work your way up. 3. Then touch up the other areas needing help. (If you want the hair to lay as it is then set it with ice water right after the dunk and brush) 4. repeat 2 and 3 as much as needed to fix the hair 5.Then let the hair dry wet without a towel and you can use hair mousse to style it.(if there are still frizzy ends you can trim them while the hair is wet)
Yes! Please find clawdeen doll cause i so want to hear your clawdeen voice again so badly. I think that's the voice i loved the most out of all the voices you have done over the years.
Please, please, please wait until she's old enough to care for the dolls. I made the mistake letting myself play with them too early and ended up losing a lot of the pieces because I just didn't think I would care about keeping all the pieces in the future.
recently found this channel i love it! youre great i love your attitude . and as an LGBTQ person myself, i really love the way you supported your daughter through everything .it truly just shows how amazing of a person you are. i applaud you for being such a truly amazing parent and ally. lots of love from Pennsylvania
*how i fix doll hair* : i usually wash with warm water and then i use some normal conditioner. i brush the dolls hair with the conditioner in and afterwards, i wash the dolls hair with warm water to get all the conditioner out and uses a towel to dry it, then i brush and i restyle the hair. i’m not sure it will completely fix the glue hair but i know it’ll look nicer. hope that helps Melissa!! 💞💞💞 (this draculaura is one of my favourite as well)
Seeing this makes me so happy! I used to watch your channel many years ago as a teen and I still like to watch your new videos. I remember going back and forth on wanting this doll for a bit because of the glue problems... but I eventually caved because the outfit is so cute! Anyway, I love the dose of nostalgia. ❤️
Jordan :# no it’s so sad I saw a worker at Walmart throw draculaura reboot on the ground when about to throw her away because no sales and she broke i felt so sad monster high needs to be back and good again 😞
The cutest part of the entire video was her ADORABLE Draculaura voice! I almost spit out my Sprite when she made the nom nom sound @ 7:47 and the barf sound @ 7:54 😂😂 i luv when she does stuff like that cuz I'm the exact same lmao Also th ,"shh, don't tell, daddy." @ 8:25 was just so freakin cute i was smiling so big the whole time
I wouldn’t listen to goo gone comments, it is a chemical that can make the hair different and more prone to frizzing and it also will smell bad. Try oxi clean powdered form, it uses simpler ingredients to the glue out. Mix a teaspoon or less in a cup and then put the doll in. After 5 mins or so brush the hair and then keep repeating the get it all in the hair, then when done you can wash it out and the hair should be less sticky or completely normal. No chemicals that will change or thin the hair too. You can repeat this process multiple times if the hair is still sticky. Works all the time for my dolls and the goo gone ruined one of my scarah’s which is why I only use oxi clean. Thank me later.
I used to have a specific method that was Goo Gone, followed by Dawn, followed by moisturizing shampoo, then moisturizing conditioner. It always seemed to work and left the doll's hair super soft afterwards.
I have a lot of monster high dolls and some ever after high but there is no room in my family's house to put them anywhere. I am a horrible person for putting them all in a suitcase and putting them in the basement, I organized them very well but still in a suitcase. I also never watched any other doll reviews except The Mommy and Gracie Show. No one I watched made me laugh as hard as I laughed watching this channel. I'm still watching even if it change.
OMG ITS INNER KRISTOFF!!!!! i remember him❤️❤️❤️i miss the old times when these cool things existed❤️ilysm ive been watching you since you and gracie/kaiden started youtube
Oxi Clean works! There's a Chanel named A Thousand Splendid Dolls that did a video on how to wash away gel, grease and glue from the doll's hair! Apparently is one of the most successful methods, and with one time is enough. There are a lot of methods (I tried the baby powder one) but they don't really take off a lot of glue, or it's just for a while until it seeps out again. I still gotta try it, over here we don't have OxiClean but Vanish
The glue seepage is so gross. I ended up getting rid of almost all my MH dolls because they had terrible glue heads, and I didn't have the energy to try to deal with it. Such a bummer. They were great except for that flaw. All the details and accessories - sob. Inner Kristoff is hilarious.
I've seen people have luck with Goo gone getting rid of the glue seepage before. You put some on and leave it for a while, and it helps to remove the glue. I think the most common way that I remember people getting rid of the glue seepage is using baby powder. It basically ends up working like dry shampoo, but the doll's hair isn't as shiny with it in.
The glue hair was the reason I ended up selling my monster high and Ever after high collection. Pretty much EVERY single one of my EAH dolls had glue hair. It's kind of ridiculous that mattel let that be such a huge issue, because it really ruins the life span of the doll.
I usually don't like pink, but with black together is my favorite combination of colors. It's for that reason why I like Draculaura very much :D For the hair, if I don't recall wrong, you can try to clean the hair with some mild detergent for fabric (like the ones for wool or delicate fabrics) in lukewarm/cold water and then use baby powder on the hair after they are dried, to "stop" the leakage.
a method that has worked for me for this problem is soaking up all the glue with baby powder, brushing it all throughout until it's dry/mostly dry, letting it sit for a little bit, then washing the doll's hair with dish soap and COLD water
I think this Draculaura is overrated... I have never seen this doll with even and not wonky face. 😳 Happy Birthday Draculaura! 💖 You are 1608 years old 😍 I hate these non snapping stands... I think of glueing them to their base. My original Draculaura is now staining because of the gel 😭 I remember that all Twyla dolls were always greasy for some reason... To help yoyr doll you should try baby powder or Goo Gone, I have seen really good results with it 💕
Makes me wanna cry that you guys are my childhood fav channel 💖 and gracie is gone, but i heard that there's gonna be monster high dolls that will be released this year
Clawdeen was my favorite monster high doll!!!! I just loved the purple in her hair and how she loved fashion. Draculaura was a very close second!!! And yes inner kristoff will ALWAYS be remembered
Wow Its so exciting to know that someone who was apart of my child hood is just like me, I always looked up to kayden so it's so lovely to know we're so simaler! I know this is a while after this was uploaded but I hope you have a amazing time finding monster high dolls and have a great day ^^
Hi Mommy Melissa. I just wanted to write to you because i’ve been binge watching your videos & wanted to say thank you for being so inspiring & so open on your channel. Your energy is absolutely amazing! I’m 24 & transgender & have always been told my love for dolls & girl toys has always been weird. You’ve made me feel so normal about it & have made me feel like I can truly be myself. (I’m probably obsessed with dolls because I was only allowed “boy toys” when I was little haha) Again thank you for being you & being the literal definition of the Mom from Mean Girl. “I’m not like the regular mom’s, i’m a cool mom!” Your intro at the beginning of all your videos has been something I say on the daily now
Oh my god seeing the Kristoff finger puppet brought me back to 2015 🤣 this Draculaura is so adorable ☺️ I'm so sad that I missed out on Monster High when I was younger because they are so Expensive now! I only had 2 of them. But loved them!
True i went to walmart today to look for lps and i went in the cheap place and behind i found a monster high reboot cleo and i saw the guys pick it up and throw it away because it broke
Since you wanna repurchase some of your old dolls, might I suggest the Dawn of the Dance dolls? I would love to see you review them again, especially the Lagoona or the Clawdeen
I LOVE YOUR MONSTER HIGH VIDEOS PLEASE KEEP MAKING THEM!!!! I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL I DONT FEEL LIKE GROWING UP AT ALL!!!! 👇 anyone else??? Or is it just me?
The picture day Draculara doll was the first monster high doll I ever had and I got it when I was like 5, I didn’t remember it that well so I watched this. This brings me back to my childhood.
Use tea tree oil and rub it in the hair and scalp really well. Then wash it out, then use baby powder to get rid of the oil and then wash with shampoo and conditioner. Then the glue never comes back.
I got a NIB 13 Wishes Twyla and she had AWFUL glue seepage. I took regular hair conditioner and and WARM, not hot, water and mixed it up then let her hair soak in there for like five minutes. Then I rinsed out the conditioner and washed her hair in Dawn dishwashing liquid. Then let it dry. Sometimes you have to do it a couple of times, but it works great!
Oh my god you have no idea how much I love you and Cayden. As a trans guy myself it's nice to see another parent accept their child for who they are. I'm still trying to get my family to come around but my dad is getting better!!
The best solution I've found to removing disgusting doll hair glue is a grease remover, used to house cleaning. I'm not from the US so I can't tell a local brand that works, but the one I use has hidrocarbonate alifatic saturated (rough translation, English is not my main lenguage) as active ingredient. It does not affect the doll faceup at all. It leaves a nasty smell but you can get rid of it washing it with shampoo later. It makes the hair perfect :) hope it helps
I have always had a passion for dolls. After having my little boy ,I felt it wS time to grow up. I stopped buying and collecting. I can remember when Monster high dolls came out and fell in love with them ( they were everywhere) I had resisted buying them because it seemed so adolescent. Now that I’m an empty Nester I have rekindled my passion for dolls and monster high dolls was one of the collections I started. It months, but I managed to track down just about every single one of them. I think they’re so cool. I started building furniture and houses for them. I’ve made clothes for them too. I even have Draculara and Neighthan Rot married together. Oh fun I’ve been having. ❤️❤️❤️
I discovered the glue issue with Ever after high and monster high dolls in storage. I think them being left in a box or something causes it or something, I have to clean them up *cries*.
Hi. If shampoo or conditioner don’t work try Goo Gone. If everything fails I would do a re root, but somehow I doubt that’s what you want as it takes around 6 to 8 hours.
Hey, Mommy, I don't know if this means anything or not, but according to Netflix, there's a new Monster High movie scheduled to be released soon . . . Maybe a second reboot? We can hope, right?
Hey! I just got around to watching your videos again! I just have one question, who is Kaiden? I watched your videos for about 2 years, and then I just wasn't into doll reviews anymore. I fell in love them again! But do you have another child? I remember Gracie wanted to quit? But idk, maybe I'm just a bit dumb XD
I really loved this doll!! My friend had alot of monster high dolls that I loved alot and she had this one! Edit: OMG I just remembered I actually had her picture day outfit as a Halloween costume!!
may i ask what happened to all of the old videos ? i used to be obsessed when your kid was still doing videos with you. it made me so sad to come back and see all of my favorite review videos gone. i hope you and kaiden are doing okay :)
Mommy I have been watching your channel since I was in the 3rd grade now I'm a junior in high school and I kinda stopped watching when Kayden left the Chanel but now I'm back and I'm sad that spatz is gone
Glue seepage is SO gross. Pisses me off that they do that to dolls now. Never used to be a thing. Try using laundry stain remover (it'll probably take a few treatments depending on how bad the situation is) just spray it on, make sure her hair is completely covered, and let it sit for a couple hours (the longer the better I think) before rinsing/washing it out. DON'T rub/scrub it in, just put it in and leave it sit. Also, talcom/baby powder. I have two blond dolls whose hair I filled with it and then left it with the intention of it being permanent. Recently I decided to wash it out and try the laundry stain remover method. Well when I washed out the powder their hair was perfect. No nasty glue at all. No further action needed. (I left it in for a few months on one and a couple years on the other but it probably doesn't need to be that long.)
