+Owari Dragon I also like to think of it like mammal vs. reptile. Reptiles were the kings for the longest time in our own history, especially as dinosaurs, until they went extinct. Birds (the last theropod dinosaurs and yes, technically reptiles) made a bit of a comeback post-extinction with terror birds and the like, but were soon outclassed by the gigantic mammals that soon sprung forth. Deviljho is very similar to the larger theropods, often considered some of the more dangerous and deadly dinosaurs, and Rajang is an ape, which could be argued (by apes, coincidentally) as some of the most advanced mammals, especially in intelligence.
Better love story than... You know what? Not even gonna say it. Although the rath scenes in this are unexpectedly adorable despite being about giant bloodthirsty wyverns.
TheVenhammer They aren't bloodthirsty, they are just trying to live. The title Monster Hunter isn't stating that you are a hunter of monsters, but rather YOU are the monster who just happens to be a hunter. Say NO to hunting!
Heemiez In a world like that i am sure they are in need of hunters xD Living in a world like that is really dangerous if you dont do anything. So humans want to live just as much as those monsters do.
King-Kittan How many times have you ever seen a "monster" kill someone? They defend their territory until the attacker is unconsious and then they allow them to leave. Hunters on the other hand mercilessly attack the "monster" until it's dead. The monsters are only trying to defend themselves from the real savages
For those who are wondering, here they are in order of appearance: Felyne Yian Kut-Ku Rathian (That brief Rathalos cameo doesn't count.) Yian Garuga Monoblos Tigrex Zinogre Nargacuga Rathalos (NOW it counts.) Lagiacrus Brachydios Akantor Teostra Kushala Daora Amatsumagatsuchi (Say THAT ten times fast.) Kirin Gore Magala Shagaru Magala Lao-Shan Lung (the Deviljho doesn't count yet) Jhen Mohran Dalamadur Rajang Deviljho Seregios (Quit bullying the Rathian!)
when capcom made dalamadur they were just taking the piss, i mean the jhen mohran was big enough and they just went f*** it and made something 4 times as big, however... I'm so glad they did it
+Thomas Macken i think the dalamandur is bigger but the raviente would win in a fight because it has greater mobility around it's surroundings and is harder to damage
missing the diabolos old gravios gigis fatalis and a few others. I mean this is all recent monsters but id love to see a comparison of all of them from games current and past
I like how all the monsters in this game are treated like "real" animals in the game. What do I mean? Let me explain. The Guild has scientists who study these creatures which they refer to as "monsters". However, these monsters aren't treated as unearthly abominations, but as just normal animals. They do live in a world of them, after all (and as such they must co-exist). Each monster has it's own ecology, habitats, behaviours, category/family, niche, etc. Also, hunters (just like real life hunters or fisherman) commonly try to defeat/capture the largest monsters for bragging rights. What I'm trying to say is that Capcom did a really good job of designing the monsters and making them feel like actual animals rather than just some unrealistic abominations (if you catch my drift).
I definitely agree with that statement. The likes of Rathalos, Zinogre or Jaggi do seem to be a natural part of their environment. Now dragons seem to tell a different tale. In the game they seem to be abnormal creatures that destroy ecosystems, decimate animal populations and are a mystery to the guild. Gore Magala is a great example this. A beast that no animal or hunter was prepared to deal with. Causing a infected wyvern apocalypse. Its what I love about monster Hunter
MrKillerman47 Ummmmm MH4U alone has like 73 monsters and frontier adds a lot(I don't even know the actual count) so im pretty sure it would be at least 150.
i love MH for how they make fictional monsters behave as if they were real, like if a monster sees you, it tries to scare you off with its roars and stuff, and if its hurt, it'll run to its own area, or "house" i guess wile other games make them basically just walk up and attack without making them realistic
tismeah7 Oh my god that would be so cool Imagine going on a hunt for a Rathalos only to find it locked in combat with a Seregios Do you help or do you clean up?
Nah bro, I'd cheer on Seregios because A) he is badass with his awesome fighting style B) he reminds me of a parrot because of his feet and how he gropes you with them, and how he makes his scales puff out C) Since I met Rathalos in Tri where he wouldnt stop flying I really hate him and I like how Seregios was whooping both Rath's butts in the game intros :D
+TheBuragi I shit rathalos plates, I had to kill 72 A. Rathaloses(Rathalosi?) for ONE Rath Gem. But on the topic, I think the most dangerous monster in the Monster Hunter universe is the monster hunter themselves, with their ability to take on the weaponry, abilities, elements, resistances, defences, and look of any and all monsters they kill.
Hunter Kenchov Not to mention sleep bombing. With a GS. Speaking of plates I actually have 2 Rathian Plates and got at least 2 Lagi Plates. I laughed like a maniac lol.
Rathalos is like the main monster of the entire mh series, not even the newer flagship monsters somewhat got no chance of matching him, he always seems like smarter than most flagship monsters like how he trolled lagi and tiggy and also how he fight off steve.
Jeff Byrne yeah pretty much even in the opening of MH4 goa taked down a tigrex like he's nothing and he was a flagship back in Freedom 2 he was pretty damn strong and goa breaks his neck like a twig.
Jeff Byrne that is true I wonder why capcom dosent add quest in which monsters are able to also fight each other like hunting a monster while there fighting another
true. but that doesn't make him not annoying? the same way a konchu would randomly roll by whilst you're mid combo on a monster and break your flow, that kind of annoying. the little things, hence the seagull comparison
As a person that started hunting in MHW, it's really cool to see the monsters of the past. I started looking into these monsters and I see why people love em.
5raptorboy1 Considering Legendary Goji is about 108 m, I'd say twice the size is an understatement, taking 2 zeros out of the integer (decimal not included) and that make it quad times, that's a huge monster
gagefarris that comment was a year old and Godzilla 2014 has 150 meter long tail while he stands 107 meters tall so he's at least 257 meter in length, minus the fact that he would be longer if he was fully stretched out on he's stomach
Kian Hopkins Well the fact that dalamadur is twice the size of the new godzilla still stands. We're literally talking a walking mountain range withthis one.Lol and raviante is even bigger
Zinogre: "Let there be light!!!!!" Amatsu: "Fuck legs! Who needs them when you can defy gravity!? Muwahahaha!!" Jho: "Why is this wall here? THERE ARE NO WALLS IN MY DOMAIN, BITCH!!!!!"
some of the missing: agnaktor, barroth, barioth, happurubokka, diablos, plesioth, gobul, doboruberuku, aoshira, rangurutora, blagongga, urukususu, giginox, khezu, congalala, great jaagi, great baagi, great froggi, royal ludroth, giadrome, gendrom, iodrome, cephadrome and others i might miss
they are only doing headliners and story bosses that ever got recognized in videos other then their own intros. black fatilis was the first end game story boss, being the reason the lao shen lung attacked (it was running) but its only appearance in a cutscene was his own intro. the other 2 fatalis weren't part of any main story, and the carpacions, as cool as they are more like sidesteps in the story. rajin is technically the only one here that really shouldn't be in the video but they thought because he was a major stepping stone in freedom unite, and was part of the "final hunt" he was included. ukanlos however does deserve a spot
The TRUE order of monsters: Furries KFC Milf, with a cameo from Cash Cow Emo McEdgy The Pain Train Chuck Norris Erection Jacobosaurus Big Pussy Give me your plates, Cash Cow Guilt Trip Sans and Papyrus Horny Rocky's Bal-Boner Edgy Gronckle Ghost Scar Full Metal... Everything Shen-Ron Brony God Edgelord Donald Trump Indominus Bullet Sponge I Hate Sand Ka, Emporor of Edge (have the edge jokes gotten old yet?) Goku The Horgeheg Hey look, it's the Indomitable Pickle again
Hey look, Milf is sleeping, maybe if I- oh goddammit, it's Steve the Pinecone, Can't you just leave the wyvern alone- oh goddammit Steve, you brought The Cash Cow here, see, this is what happens if you try to look cool. Get your golden ass out of here. Waifu Collection World's Largest Toilet Drop The Hammer Random Old Guy You And Poogie, The mastermind behind all technology
Before watching this, open a new tab find Proof of a hero (long version or extended version). play both at the same time and watch back and see the magic
This is just meant to show off the most influential monsters in the series (not including online and the other bollocks one with all the good monsters)
The monster should fight like this in game on a regular, not just when its cinematic or you've dwindle health or stamina to a certain point. I'd like to see territory battles and display of dominance between monsters. Or competitions for mating rights. Or a more diverse food web where the herbivores aren't the only thing eaten but also smaller carnivores
+Ralix Tanner but smaller Carnivours are eaten all the time, DevilJho pretty much eats everything, Kut,Ku eats Conchu, Yian eats normal Kut ku Nercilla eat Gycperos and so on so fourth.
+MickeyD It's more annoying than terrifying... There's a video somewhere here on how best to approach it. I'm more terrified of Seregios actually. Really scary and very predatory looking. Dalamadur is just this force of nature like Kushala.
In MH4U, the signal is reserved for Felynes with skills/abilities that say you can signal to activate certain things (such as team attack) immediately. So I'd say that Felynes are still far more useful and likable. In 3U, Cha-Cha and Kayamba were characters I liked, but other than using little quirks from their mask or running along to me, the signal didn't do much.
DisturbedKoala but still, kayamba wise word "you must tolerate what you can't change" haha for me its easier to manage kayamba and chacha because it just mask and dance needs to change,
Here's what i think: Fatalis size is larger than Lagiacrus, but smaller than Lao Shan. Perhaps around 3500-4000 cm? Dire Miralis would be slightly smaller than Lao Shan. I think it is around 6500 cm. Yama Tsukami isn't really big. But i don't know the exact size.
it's weird, cuz the lengths and the meters that are written down with each animal probably are correct, yet it feels like they are a bit smaller when they come on screen
Monsters featured in this video: Felyne,Aptonoth,Yiankutku,YianGaruga,Rathian,Rathalos,Monoblos,LaoShanLung,Tigrex,Nargacuga,KushalaDaora,Teostra,Rajang,Kirin,Akantor,Lagiacrus,Brachydios,Deviljho,Zinogre,Jhen Mohran,Gore Magala,Shagal Magala,Dara Amadyura,Amatsumagasutchi,and Selregios.
they will know since everytime they release new mh, the old monsters are brought back. like yian kutku, garuga, chameleos, kushala daora and akantor but removing monsters that have been around for 3 games like qurupeco
not really... if you count that everyone had permadeath and had to start over again without previous knowledge of the bossfights.... everyone will die somewhere by a oneshot :p...
@@Acers2K actually between the the fact hunters are descendents of super soldiers meant for the dragon war and the fact hunters wear armor made of incredibly tough monsters it's no surprise they can take as much punishment as they can without dying. Three times is probably the max amount of times they can take crippling damage without dying.
+Ng Shi Wei Bryan The Dalamadur? Yeah, no, it's huge. I did a little math, and it turns out that 44,039.7cm translates roughly to 1,445 feet. For all us Stateside folk, that's almost five full football fields in length. And the Deviljho would stretch from the end zone to about the 25 yard line.
Cody Fuller Gonna have to disagree with you on that, sadly. You have several spots you can hit at almost any time: The shoulder spikes, the claws, the head, the chest, and the tail. I've found the tail to be the easiest to break first, followed by the shoulders, chest, claws, and then the head for last. It's hella easy to keep track of the thing without needing to have your camera locked onto it all the time. In fact, the only time you should have the camera locked onto the head is when it disappears before coming up for either its flamethrower attacks or when it does the whole lunge thing with the bottom jaw stuck in the ground.
+TheBuragi You should try to break as many parts as possible, as it adds more to the loot table. Look up Gaijin Hunter's Dalamadur Tutorial to see what all exactly you can do during the fight.
Man, I loved Nargacuga. He was hands down my favorite in MHFU. I killed him so much to get his evasion set. I learned all his tricks. Gore magala would be a close second, but he's a lot harder to read and less sleek.
Great Fanservice. Thank you for this series, but sadly the western World is pretty uncareful handled. We also want a Monster Hunter Frontier or Monster Hunter Online.
Holy cow this one was way scarier than the previous. That 44,000 cm one was so surprising I had to look it up. All impressive numbers aside, those cats are the bravest creatures in the universe.
