Bro you could do an entire hunt and never activate some hunter arts cause they had horrible charge times rise took some of these hunter arts and actually made them part of the moveset
@@thugkermit9999 i think HA is great, at least its better than wirebug when it comes to spamming, the problem is the styles. If you only have 1 HA slot, most of the time, you want to grab abs readiness, even if you use guild, striker or alchemy, you still wanna grab abs readiness AND abs evade sometimes. Not to mention some HA are just downright bad and most of them are meh compared to the best HA available making it extremely monotonous, well its not like rise have it better when it comes to balancing, but at leas you able to bring more various switch skills compared to HA.
@@manikaditha6308 well they’re both balanced by their respective game HA are a strong tool in the right hands but some styles are balanced around the fact that the style will do the heavy lifting first so having access to multiple HA in say valor style would’ve been way to busted and playing striker in difficult missions in only worth it if all HA are strong enough to sacrifice their safety like sns or demon riot swaxe Spamming HA is practically impossible if you’re not running a very specific setup but they weren’t meant to, they’re more used as tech in very specific moments or as buffs Wirebugs function very differently in that they’re a multi-tool for movement, recovery and wirebug arts so they have a broader use like the clutch claw or genu styles but it also allows for more variation, for instance sacrificing safety for stronger combos or giving up damage for safer recovery or better I-frames Wirebug arts can be used as combo tools to extend finishers, to speed up a weapons gameplan or more safety and damage with counters Both games have a different focus, XX focuses harder on the styles and uses HA sparingly while rise has a stronger focus on wirebug arts and a lesser focus on different styles Obviously certain arts in both games are going to be bad but that’s the caviar for introducing such a high variety of different tools into a game
5:01 It's still pisses me off so much that we didn't get this as a wirebug skill in Rise or Sunbreak. Instead we got 2 jumping moves one of which is just SAED, 2 different parries, and a stupid nondamaging dash. Like seriously, Sunbreak would have been the absolute perfect time to give us a different way to do elemental damage instead of just phials. Us charge blade users deserved one giant big dumb elemental slash for Sunbreak after the absolute travesty that was Rise charge blade. Seriously, why the fuck does Savage axe go away when you wiredash/fall when THAT'S HOW YOU SURVIVE IN THIS GAME 🤬
Dude I get that the diversity we might've had with energy blade in the game would've been nice, but everything else you say following that are basically just a rant with some skill issue. Might wanna think why the game gave you 2 new skills that have either hyper armor or guard which works without disabling savage axe. You know like, maybe in order to support that playstyle's stability? Also, you're totally sleeping on morphing advance. You don't know how handy that gets when you're repositioning yourself for a perfect SAED angle. Trust me when I say this. No other weapon gets even close to Charge Blade level when it comes to overall wirebug skill usefulness. Every one of those are more than indispensable either in SAED build or savage axe build.
@@2Shiba ah, an eletist! Maybe you should pull your thumb out of your butt and actually read what I said. They ROYALLY fucked over Charge Blade in Rise and Sunbreak and literally every person I've ever spoken to (even my best friend who is MH oldie) says that charge blade got shafted. Also, I don't wanna hear *shit* about any "skill issue" when I spent the entirety of base Rise and all title updates exclusively trying to make savage axe work. Did you know that when you wiredash, your axe buff goes away? They literally added a skip for the "No phials" animation when you're transferring into Savage axe sunbreak because of how stupid it was to have to sit there for 25 seconds after getting hit and rebuff, or you have to take the hit and roll on the ground and hope you survive. Did you know any of that? Probably not! Also, just so you know, I did over 500 hunts in base Rise with charge blade, mixing up sword and axe mode, and could get through Apex Zinogre Emergency without carting. With condensed spining slash. No skill issues here, maybe you should try going back to base rise and doing that hunt with the savage axe build and then come back and tell me how it went.
It's interesting seeing different experiences online. I personally like the charge blade as is in Sunrise. Never had issues with the different play styles other than learning the moves of the monster. (Coming from multiple different weapons, can take a Lil time relearning what are the best openings for which. ) Evade extender helps a lot in savage axe mode for me personally. There's also that gaurd silk bind.
Dude charge blade does up to 7000 per discharge in sunbreak while genu cb was the worst the weapon has ever been I get the laser sword cause it’s absolutely sick but in genu it’s nothing but a gimmick I would’ve loved to see it get picked up and expanded tho
@@thugkermit9999So what you're saying is: you'd rather do 7000 damage quite a bit of which is physical but it be on an extremely slow animation (7 seconds til phial damage) and have a high chance of missing some of it, versus having that same 7000 damage on a quick and *fuckin ginormous* hitbox and it be purely elemental damage all in one strike. 🤦
Rise and Sunbreak take more inspiration from this. Monster Hunter have Portable Titles and Mainline titles. Generations ultimate, like Rise is more experimental. Faster paced. (Rise even has skills like prowler for the palicos and palamutes) World is slower paced like the main line ones. The Mainline ones are usually slower. (I say slower and not grounded because there is nothing grounded about giant weapons, decos, monsters with borderline super powers etc ---*elder dragons*---. Mh has always been silly)
