BREAKING NEWS: Local village hunter, A Toaster with wings, An AC on the highest setting with wings and a Samurai Tiger team up to assault a pregnant widowed space dragon, more news on the matter at 6.
@Lucky_Ramen Teostra probably thought, with the absolute amount of carnage there, that it was Lunastra. He missed her so he decided to come say hi (or rescue her from the hunter) He then gets thunder-winded by narwa
@@kuroakevizago I feel like it was a last ditch effort. Normally the wouldn’t happen but since this is their children they need to bare Ibushi sacrifices itself so that Narwa can have more power and to beat the Hunter that will stop their plan.
@@diousthomas8878 either that or it's part of their natural form of reproduction. Many anthropoids, mollusks, amphibians, and certain fish reproduce by leaving their reproductive organs or spermatophores inside the female, being eaten at the end as their purpose has ended, or merging with the female to become parasitic and coexist with the female to release sperm whenever it is needed, much like an angler fish
Fought the all mother with my friends who ive been playing MH since World came out. One of them absolutely loved Magnamalo and would always ask to get the ride if it was available. When Magnamalo dropped in the fight and got struck by Narwa, we all saw him become ridable and we all screamed for our friend to go and mount Magna. Such an awesome moment for a great fight.
I played this game through with my friend and we were also electric when Magnamalo appeared. Y'know, many games pull great stories and great scenes with great dialogue, this game made one extremely great scene with 0 dialogue, just great music and pure interactive awesome
I'm just imagining that while we're watching Narwa savage her husband, Hinoa is back in the village having just briefly blacked out from experiencing the death of the creature she was resonating with, and wakes up only to see Minoto all crazy-eyed trying to fucking take a bite out of her while Fugen and Utsushi are trying their damnedest to hold her back.
Hunter: “Never thought I’d die fighting side by side with a monster.” Magnamalo: “What about side by side with a friend?” Hunter: “Aye... I could do that!”
Honestly my only complaint was that it's not mentioned at all after as to what happened, and that it's quite early in the fight, but I got so hyped when magna appeared
@@jonahweiss2124 Same. When Magnamalo came in and I managed to mount him and I literally screamed "CHARGE!" and beat the fuck outta Narwa. It was such a cool moment and I genuinely didn't expect it to happen.
Teostra: "I just came here for Bagels and i sense this witches energy so i kinda HAD to come help you hunter..." Kushala: "Even if i was a pain in the ass for you hunters years ago, I STILL LOVE YOU GUYS!!! Now get on my back and we can kill the witch together!!!" Chameleos: *"Fuck this shit Im out" plays as he walks calmly away*
The theme for this battle feels more saddening, as well as makes you wonder just how desperate Ibushi and Narwa were in that final fight, having Ibushi straight up sacrificing himself. I even noticed how the first few seconds of the final fight, you can see signs of hesitance and affection from Narwa towards Ibushi before she bites him and absorbs his power. As if she doesn't want to lose her mate, but knows she has to do this to save their offspring. It really shows a lot about these two elders, and how Allmother isn't just fighting to beat the hunter, but as well to avenge Ibushi after being in a near death state thanks to our hunter, sparing him of the pain he would've gone through if he decided to keep fighting I love the amount of detail Capcom puts to these fights.
The fight itself felt… lacking though. Not saying it was bad, just that it wasn’t as good as it could have been. It was at once too gimmicky and doesn’t have enough variety to it’s gimmicks. I always felt that if this fight had allowed the use of the Hunting Styles from MHG/MGX with the adept dodge and aerial leaps it would have been a lot more epic, but instead it was just “hide behind rocks” and “do platforming” intermittent by brief moments of “whack the floating thing”. I mean, I played Lance and Gunlance primarily with max Guard and Guard Up so I can shrug through most of her attacks while continuously laying down damage and sticking to her like superglue, but most everyone else are forced to adopt a hit-and-run tactic in this fight.
Ibushi was already wounded when he fought the hunter on the top platform of the coral palace. The damage he took in the fight would probably have proven eventually fatal, so rather than slowly fade away, he gave Narwa and their unborn offspring as much of an edge as he could.
@@dethkruzer iirc Ibushi's death is also part of the elder dragons's reproductive cycle since Ibushi basically supplies the eggs and Narwa with the energy to survive after he's had his energy drained.
It's implied that Ibushi sacrificing himself is how the eggs in Narwa's womb are fertilized. The Allmother state might be something similar to the Black Diablos - a power boost necessary to ensure the survival of the eggs within her. If allowed to lay eggs or give birth to live children (we will probably never know whcih), she probably reverts to her normal state. We later face a true Master Rank Allmother - one that might have the chance to consume the essence of a healthy Ibushi rather than one that was at death's door. The reason we have to? She might start ANOTHER Rampage! However, it's not Magnamalo who can show up - it's either Teostra, Kushala, Malzeno...or very, VERY rarely after the first successful hunt, SCORNED MAGNAMALO.
When I dropped into the pit with Ibushi: "Oh, here's Narwa, just gotta kill Ibushi first." *Narwa kills Ibushi* "Oh..." *Name changes to Narwa the Allmother* "OH" And then having Magnamalo come in was amazing. He got called for these two, he might as well throw down. Then when Proof of a Hero kicks in, I nearly screamed. This fight was perfect.
As Ibushi falls down through the opening broken by the fall, He reunites with His Queen. Narwa, biding within, gathers together with Ibushi in a dance of Hurricane and Thunder. Hoping to have moulded the world into a true paradise with Her King, Narwa and Ibushi begin to regale in a dangerous stance. One final parting gift in His defeated state, Ibushi sacrifices His power over the Breathe Of Ire to the Lady of Lightning. Fated to rule without Her King, Narwa raises to the sky in a ball of rage and unleashes a Red Roaming Roar. She now only wishes to avenge Her fallen King. To tear the skies asunder, With howling wind and roaring thunder, To save her children from fearsome hunters, Death of a father, Rage of the Allmother, A serpent's final gambit, Another's last heartbeat, She no longer yearns for true paradise, Acting as the harbinger of the world’s demise.
I wonder if you also slightly edited your comment here accordingly, upon reading my reply comment telling you about the pit where we fight Allmother Narwa has several cave tunnels, especially one which is big enough for Narwa to fit through at another comment section of Allmother theme lol.
@@meremsolomon4744 I actually did 😄. I think I have the lyrics comment and the poem comment only on this high quality version and the thirty minute version. If there are other videos that I commented on with the lyrics and poem, then my goldfish memory can’t remember.
@@yado2217 For your information , the 'Nintendo Music Channel' have better sounding quality for Allmother Narwa theme. Better than this audio video one in particular that is.
I was originally hoping for an Orstein & Smough style fight where you fight both of them first and then whoever dies first gets absorbed by the other and either becomes a super lightning dragon with auxiliary wind powers or a super wind dragon with auxiliary lightning powers, but I guess what we got wasn't too bad. The Magnamalo was a great touch too
@@tobysceptiman7058 Not _quite_. Narwa always eats Ibushi and become Allmother which is "super lightning dragon with auxiliary wind power". Also phase 1 is always just a plain Ibushi fight, not a double fight like O&S
I had a sneaking suspicion that the logo had two hidden monsters when they first announced this title. I thought Ibushi kinda looked like Alatreon or something, then BOOM, Capcom drops Fugin and Raijin on us.
It feels genuinely terrible that you have to kill them out of pure necessity. Their existence puts ours at risk so there's just no way around it and it's not their fault we have to fight to live. They want to live as much as we do but we cannot coexist.
I remember another comment that said this, but if these two weren't borderline omnicidal gods hell bent on destroying the world to make their children, we'd be the villains in this fight. (Hell, Ibushi even pulls a heroic trope in the form of the sacrificial power up and gave up his life to give Narwa that desperate power boost in a final attempt for victory like something out of an anime!)
Ibushi does not die in battle. His essence, his soul, live the body of narwa. Let's remember how bio-energy manifests itself in many ways in the world of monster hunter. Narwa and Ibushi loved and respected each other, as we can see by reading their thoughts, at each moment, they look for each other and when they meet, they decide to join together to achieve their paradise.
Welcome back to another episode of "I write the wyverian lyrics by ear because gog damn is this song awesome". On todays episode, Allmother Narwa! This song has two voices singing in it that I'm gonna separate by putting them in brackets; Hinoa (Minoto) Now there's one part that's really interesting to me because while you hear the Ibushi reff sung by Hinoa, you can hear Narwa's reff sung by Minoto in the background slightly. So it really is a mix of both themes! ---------- Lyrics (by ear): He~ Laey~ Na~ Betha motu mogu sequino, Mi momuqi ganti, No kete amano, (No kete amano,) Mamoshi che yen, ke motu seo ilon, (ke mo so~) Ichi newo bishi, Otwo seriru~ (Otwo seriru, wu~) Ha~ (Ha~) Eti, eteshi meyha, (He leti, eteshi mey ha,) Lefevuah mi se ho gamna, (Le, mi se ho gamna,) Oro lama sori, (He gamna lama sori,) Mijheri hoti, (Mi, hoti,) He Laey Na~! (He Lema Na~!)
This theme...just...IT STILL GIVES ME CHILLS HEARING IT. its so beautiful and epic. Makes you determined to defeat the allmother but at the same time you cant help but pity that their existence threatens everyone in the village and as such they have to die, so lets give them a send off so she can join ibushi in the heavens above
Magnamalo, Teostra, and Daora all showing up to fight her really shows how everyone, humans and monster alike, recognize the Allmother as an existential threat to all life in the world.
Which is hilarious cause they all come in. Do their half ass move but narwa just stuns them. Then your hunter wyvern rides the monster to do some real damage.
@@sudanemamimikiki1527The first time you fight her, Mag is the one that's scripted to show up. For subsequent fights it's a random toss-up between Mag, Teo, Daora, or Rajang.
My very first time attempting this fight Magnamalo jumped down right at 1:32 when the duet chorus kicked in, and me knowing how all of Kamura blamed him in the beginning as the source of The Rampage, for him to show up and help you defeat the REAL source… someone was cutting onions in the room that’s for sure😁
This fight and many others made me realize that the village falsely made Magnamalo the bad guy. This monster literally goes into turf wars to help you and then the village goes “purple ghost kitty bad.”
To be fair, he did wreck the hell out of Kamura when he first showed up. Probably by accident. Either way, future magnamolas stared to see us the hunters as threats because of our assumption.
@@draw2death421 Yeah the Moga Village literally said “Sparky blue lizard bad.” Even though he did nothing wrong and got framed by a dragon whale that didn’t even give you useful armor until you fight the golden version of it.
@@diamondqueen2162 well to be fair that Dragon Whale was only trying to break its own horn so it whoudnt loose its Sight and not for a Evil intend it just happens that above that Wall he was smacking his horn against was a human village.
I GET THAT FUCKING REFERENCE But seriously fighting along side magnamalo was badass and it allowed me to get a triple part break on narwa mid wyvern ride
Hunter: never thought I would fight side-by-side with a monster Magnamalo: What about fighting side-by-side with a friend Hunter: Aye The real hunt was the monsties we made along the way
1:15 this part of the song is so dangerous that it always gives me chills, hell sometimes I tear up, cause im a mad sucker for grand music like this, which totally lets Narwa get a free hit on me
They really went all out on this theme. I wasn't a big fan of the ibushi and narwa fights but this fight surpassed what I expected and was a genuinely fun fight. I look forward to grinding gems for each weapon.
This fight is kinda sad. After Ibushi’s section, he’s on the edge of death. He willingly gives himself up to Narwa so she can absorb his power. She was hesitant for a moment, but it was clear Ibushi would die either way, and if she didn’t have his power, her and the children would too. So she absorbed his energy, killing him, and transforming her into the Allmother. To her, this wasn’t just a fight. This was revenge. Revenge for Ibushi, and her will to protect their offspring. They gave quite literally everything they had to win, but in the end, they were both slain by the Hunter(s).
This has Ceadeus theme vibes and I am in LOVE. Fr, you'd think vocals wouldn't feel as impactful in a game that is full of choirs and stuff, but the sheer intensity and emotion makes this theme stand out completely!
Imagine that during Sunbreak, there’ll be a quest where you have to fight Ibushi and Narwa and halfway into the fight, those two bond similarly how Teostra and Lunastra bond in World/Iceborne.
That is why I love this theme song. Not only does it have the serenity of Narwa's theme " Lady of Lightning" and the strength and fury of Ibushi's theme "Breath of Ire" combined to no avail. It represents their final union, their serenity of being one even if it is in battle and their desire to be together until the end no matter what. They may be monsters, but their story is very moving and humane. I hope to see more of the divine serpents again in future games.
When Magnomalo shows up I instantly got Nergigante vibes from World when he finishes off Shara Ishvalda. Genuinely so epic to see that the monsters are affected by what are practically gods, and still fight back against their natural order. This is what gives Monster Hunter its charm, this is what makes us grind and play for hundreds of hours every single release and Master/G-rank. I adore this series so much.
You gotta appreciate how committed Ibushi is to his "Queen". I don't imagine any other Simps not only willing to die, but willing to "fuse" with their lover if it means protecting them. EDIT: after some thinking, I’ve come to the conclusion that I was wrong. Ibushi’s no simp; he’s the best husband a Monster could ask for. Rock on, ya wind bag!
@@Tommyvang187 the Seltas' just seemed one-sided, the queen will sometimes kill the male as use him as a weapon then immediately replace him. At least Narwa and Ibushi seemed dependent on each other and ibushi willingly sacrificed himself for Narwa
In the grand tradition of my hunting career, I come back to videos like these to revel in the melodies post-hunt. I adore Monster Hunter music, but when I’m hunting, there are only two sounds I listen for. -The sound of the monsters, in case there’s an audio tell for the next attack. -The sound of my teammates’ voices, because when I fight with others, we fight as one. I desperately wish I could hunt and listen to these songs at the same time. But I hate cutting off the beautiful/awesome/heartpounding music with the sound of the cart-cat’s wagon wheels. Godspeed, hunters.
Kushala showed up because some monster has full mastery of the wind and tracked down to its source, since it doesn't want its snowy turf(and kitties) getting razed by that thing. Teostra intervened since the title of Allmother is something akin to a deity goddess that exceeds past all of royalty, including his title as Emperor. So he's here to defend both his status and pride, he refuses to kneel to any monster...not even to an elder dragon whose power is that of a god now. Chameleos...well, he doesn't want in on that shit so he's hiding and watching from the sidelines until he gets blasted by Narwa's thunder breath unintentionally. Magna's intervention, its something out of some japanese myth from Yakuza that the tiger is the only animal that can rival and fight a dragon in power, no one knows why they fight each other though. That or he just tracked down the very source of the rampage since Narwa becoming Allmother lit her up like a christmas tree had caught his attention and wants a piece of that godly flesh. Thats basically my assumption of their motives of crashing into the final, final fight of world's fate.
All right admit it, you shot the hell out of Ibushi and for a few seconds thought you killed him, didn't you? I did. I was "oh yes don't gotta fight both.... oh she did it aanndd I just wasted all those shots on a dying dragon instead the epically angry one."
@@thebaseandtriflingcreature174 actually i would've preferred to first eviscerate that bitch in front of that SIMP's horrified eyes only to choke him to death with his offspring's butchered corpses...thats what they get for escaping my wrath and pull a rick rolling false ending on me...but i admit might've taken it a *BIT* personal XD
The single greatest first experience fight in monster hunter history for me. (SPOILERS) Ibushi falling and going the Narwa only to be bitten and sucked of essence to bring a new, even stronger Narwa and the music kicking in was mind blowing. The fight itself while also looking incredible with mixed elements of both serpents, this fight felt AWESOME to fight and wire bug around. And I was playing gunlance while fighting them so the rocketing through the hoops and matching her movement was an incredible experience where you just FEEL AWESOME. Mag then coming to have a go at Narwa before letting you ride him to deal some damage was one of the hypest moments I've had playing! And everything that followed was incredibly satisfying form her big attack, to the climax, AND THE MUSIC to the very death of the beast itself, you just cant get that same experience anywhere else BUT monster hunter. 800/5, Capcom and the monster hunter team can never be replaced.
My boi Malo throwing down with Allmomma Narwa while I'm raining Piercing ammo on her then proof of a hero plays. Good lord did every fiber of my body came to life that night.
You gotta wonder what inspired the designers to give Ibushi and Narwa their weird mouths. They've got mouths like that of the sarcastic fringehead (it's a real animal, look it up) with the inner jaws clearly coming from the Xenomorph from the _Alien_ series. It adds to their otherworldly appearance, and I love it. Edit: Turns out that there's a creature on our own planet that has that jaws-inside-of-jaws setup - the moray eel.
Wyverian actually is Japanese mixed to French, so we just have to wait for someone to translate this back to Japanese and we'll know what they are saying, like it happened with Ibushi and Narwa's themes.
This song as great as it is, is not simply a fight to protect the village as other hunts have been deemed off, this is a fight to see which species prevails, the serpents will destroy the land just to have the childrens thrive this suposes the extintion of all humanoids and monsters alike on that area, thats why the ecosystem regulator and other elder dragons come assisting fight, this threat is too big of a problem to left it uncheck and is a fight for the survival of multiple species.
In terms of the world of monster hunter Allmother Narwa is definitely on the same level of power as Safi’jiiva As in: not actually black dragon level, but strong enough to gain the attention of black dragons Like I wouldn’t be surprised if an autumn or winter update down the line, we get a black dragon added into rise
To imagine that Magnamalo isn't even classified as an elder... I fear his eventual upgrade in the Ultimate Expansion. He went toe-to-toe with the cause of the rampage. When All Mother Narwa dies, 8 orbs leave her womb, presumed to be her offspring, that we will likely have to deal with in that Expansion. Now what happens if Magnamalo consumes one of them, or multiple even?
Its how they personified the both of them that makes this hit so different, her lover dead shetakes his last life's breath. Now the only thing she fights for is revenege and survival in a hopeless bout against you. The hunter stands in her way but in the end she knows she is going to die.
I already play 4 MH games and this is the only time I feel bad for monsters. They are literally parents doing everything to protect their child, even sacrifice their life.
I haven't felt such an emotionally charged fight since Ceadeous. Literally, when I saw Magnamalo appear, tears came to my eyes. Wow, what a game and what a saga.
