What a clean run! I just got my diving wyvern and I miss it most the time and also having hard time fighting most monsters without recall kinsect evade lol
MHR is my first monster game and the insect glaive was the most interesting to me from the start. Your videos are awesome and your run on this was amazing 🤯

Clean, nice Runas a SnS main i m leaning towards IG as a Secondary weapon. Love the mobility and seeing what one can achieve once you master it is quite impressive , good job ;)
Hey! Love your IG speedruns. I wanted to ask about whether you feel like Monarch Alucanid is that much worse compared to Carnage Beetle. I'm new to this so idk if the difference between severing and blunt is too huge
Hey thanks! Both kinsects have the same stats but carnage beetle has the ability to stun the monster and monarch alucanid can sever tails and inherit element from your IG. The choice to use which is really up to your situation but carnage beetle is more ideal because Narga IG doesn’t have any element anyway and it can net you a stun, which means an extra opening to fit more DPS in. Another difference are their applicable hitzones, where severing and blunt might do different amounts of damage on the same part. In quite a few cases a monster head will have a higher hitzone value for blunt than sever, so naturally carnage beetle will do more damage then. You can learn more about hitzones in your hunter notes for large monsters on the physiology tab.
Any tips to make the kinsect attack where you're aiming all the time? Sometimes even when I've marked the spot with a pheromone shot, the damn bug acts stupid and attacks other spots instead

You can purchase kinsects with different bonuses at the smithy, this particular one, Carnage Beetle, has dual color (attack) as its kinsect bonus, which means it will always extract red + white/orange depending on the part of the body you hit.
@@derekjean similar deal, leaping slash is a quick comfy gap closer and can combo into tornado slash immediately. Advancing roundslash covers way too huge of a distance, does not combo immediately into tornado slash and consumes a lot of sharpness, but it does have a niche to proc a counter that launches you in the air, which can apply an aerial modifier to diving wyvern. Realistically i can only see this being somewhat useful on match ups like tigrex and maybe rajang, even then you lose out on a comfy option like leaping slash for more reliable punishes.
Hey I’m new to Insec glaive and you seem like an expert. Are you able to explain how the healing works? Sometimes when I recall my Kinsec I get heals and sometimes I don’t.
