@@impcityangel3245 In the Western literature, there's 3 monsters that dominate the "Horror" genre: Werewolves, Vampires and Frankenstein's Monster. Considering that they are the "Three Lords" it's not hard to assume that Garangolm is to represent Frankenstein's Monster. Along with that, it has 2 different elements, one on each hand. Frankenstein's Monster is created by using different parts from different people, so if we extend that to Garangolm, it having 2 different elements on its arms is a representation of those arms being "mismatched" and coming from other beings. It's definitely not an Ogre. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if we get a Goss Harag subspecies that is more in line with an Ogre, using hardened mud as a club as opposed to an Ice Sword. EDIT: another thing: Ogres don't typically live in Swamps. Only Shrek did that and that isn't really the best representation of fairytale creatures...

Icrborne set the bar really high on the OST. I hope some new bangers come out; so far they are giving a good impression but the tracks Iceborne used when they revealed their stuff was a million years better than what the other composers are doing for Sunbreak.

Love it! First we had Yōkai inspired monsters, so now we got a Dracula type monster, a werewolf type and now one inspired by Frankenstein’s monster. Can’t wait to see what other monster inspirations there will be

Incredible, they managed to make the Rajang from older generations look small. Overall the three lords are MASSIVE, I thought Lunagaron was going to be your Odogaron/ Tobi-Kadachi sort of thing, not an Odogaron the size of a Zinogre.

@@Stratelier Yup, and I'm happy it turned out to be true. I think it would have been incredibly disappointing if Lunagaron stayed on all fours, essentially just making it "Odogaron but Ice". By having a bipedal stance, it already makes it stand out (pun intended) amongst other Fanged Wyverns

I think there are actually 3 phases, kinda like zamtrios. Quadrapedal, Bipedal when enraged, and ice armor buff that applies to either form. Just like Zamtrios has normal, Ice clad and Inflatosphere which could be normal or ice clad.

To be honest I thought Lunagaron was a very unexciting monster the first time we got to see it, just a smorgasboard of other monsters backed by a basic (for monster hunter) design. But now seeing how it's true battle style has it fighting on it's hind legs actually has me really excited! Goss Harag was my favorite of the new monsters in Rise for a similar reason, and I think more "humanoid" monsters are a welcome change.

Those raptors are most likely inspired by gremlins because of those ears, I mean the moment I saw them I thought "gremlin raptors, definitely". Also the sunbreak version of proof of a hero sounds so good! Hope magnamalo and malzeno have a turf war and appear in future monster hunter games.

I think gammoth will be coming in MH6. There has been a pattern with their return. Glavenous in Iceborne who is weak to water, then Mizutsune in Rise who is weak to thunders, and now Astalos in sunbreak who is weak to ice.

So, we have Dracula (Malzeno), the Wolf Man (Lunagaron), and Frankenstein's Monster (Garangolm). I hope they introduce monsters inspired by the Mummy and Gill-Man.

Deviants and subspecies did coexist in Generations, so I didn't think they were completely off the table. Super glad to have them confirmed though

1:24 so it's like Zinogre in that it's "Ice-Armour" phase is separate from it's normal enrage, it gets armour and then it enrages and goes bipedal now that I think about it; it seems more similar to Rajang's power ups, i.e. it goes Super Saiyan and that it goes Kaioken

1:14 You can now wall run without jumping and at 1:16 I think they change base wirebugs to 3, because you see them commence the jump>hang>dash>dash 1:38 I also don't remember wyvern ride wire color being orange

Wasnt there an orange wirebug in the digital Event ? Maybe in master Rank you can only wyvernride with the "Special" wirebugs

They could just have 3 wirebugs instead of 2. And the wyvern ride is orange because of the new morphed wirebugs in which there's 2 types of, the Golden wirebug makes it so attacked monsters while wyvern riding will drop more materials, the ruby wirebug increases the damage of the mounted punisher. Both bugs have the passive effect of making it easier to wyvern ride and increases wirebug recovery speed

This game keeps giving me what I want. I couldn’t be happier. Zero sum discharge. Pre-world talismans. Separate village and hub. Valstrax. Astalos. Now all I need is sword oils for sword and shield, or at least a silkbind that emulates them.

I actually like the bishaten subspecies I liked the original as I thought it’s fight was really creative even for a earlier monster and I predicted that the teaser was for a blast subspecies. It looks fun having nuke pinecones thrown at you. All of these monsters explore fun and creative ideas with unique designs compared to world. I love world but the earlier monsters were like fire T. rex. Everything was pretty much a lizard until iceborne. Giving it more variety makes it more fun.

Yeah one of my biggest problems with World is the lack of diversity of monsters. Of course Iceborne fixed that, but everything in base World was just some big lizard or dragon, and most of them used fire, and all the other elements had very few representatives, ice being the worst offender by having only one. I love how much more diverse the Rise roster is. Sure there are lizards, dragons, and a good amount of fire users, but there are more than just that. There's more representatives of the other elements, and there isn't just big lizards and dragons

@@Lecruidant don’t know what that has to do with handholding but, what I see is that in old MH games like MH4 when you approach a small ledge you automatically hop over it now it seams it’s the same for rise but for any climbable surface, similar to world when you approach a wall of vines to clime it

3 and a half months is too long to wait, but it'll be SO worth it. I am absolutely getting getting deluxe edition because that Vampire Hunter layered armor is just PERFECTION. Also hyped for the ACTUAL VAMPIRE layereds that'll come with the amiibo.
